Hidden in the charming streets of Sóller, La Romaguera is an absolute gem that brings a refreshing and creative twist to the local dining scene. This restaurant masterfully combines Mediterranean freshness with Asian-inspired tapas, resulting in dishes that are as beautiful to look at as they are to taste.
From the moment the plates arrive, it’s clear that presentation is part of the experience. The vibrant colors, delicate garnishes, and thoughtful plating make every dish a work of art. But it’s not just style—each bite delivers on flavor.
We started with delicate gyozas, perfectly seared and topped with sesame seeds and a touch of seaweed—an elegant nod to Asian street food, elevated with finesse. The crispy cod dish with fresh herbs and jewel-like beet purées was a standout, striking the balance between crunchy, tangy, and savory in every bite. The spinach and avocado salad, topped with pickled onions, miso vinaigrette, creamy avocado swirls, and a sprinkle of walnuts, was as refreshing as it was inventive.
What makes La Romaguera truly special is the way it reimagines tapas. Instead of sticking to tradition, it embraces global influences while honoring local ingredients, creating something unique and memorable.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, perfect for a leisurely evening in Sóller. Service is warm and attentive without being intrusive, adding to the overall charm.

Read moreWhilst we appreciated a late seating the waitress then did her utmost to make us feel both a nuisance and unwelcome. We were told the kitchen was closing soon so we went to order food first before drinks & this was a problem, we then asked about the steak (priced at 52euros per kg) & whether there were different sized steaks- she answered that it was 52euros and that’s it, at this point we felt she was cold and frosty but not rude as such, this then worsened when the food arrived-
Our 7 tapas were delivered to our table all at the same time by another (much friendlier!) waiter & since we were late and the restaurant was mostly empty & not accepting anyone else we joined our small table for 2 with the one next door in order to fit on all our drinks and food, 10 mins into eating the waitress comes back and snarls at us ‘what’s happened here?’, it didn’t cross my mind she was referencing the 2 tables and I responded that we’d managed to eat very quickly! The final joke was on her though as she yanked the 2nd table away so hard that she broke the foot off (this is bearing in mind that all the other tables apart from one were empty and other guests were not waiting for tables so we weren’t preventing anyone else from sitting down).
All in all, not a great experience and not the best place in Sóller given the...

This was without a doubt the best meal I have had in my life. I've been vegan for 9 years and now everything I've ever cooked pales in comparison. I'm not even going to try and cook anymore. It's cold beans and toast for the next 50 years because why bother. My fiancé who isn't vegan found every bite to be just as good.
The mushroom truffle Gyoza - Tantalus would have saved himself a lot of punishment if he'd ordered these instead of stealing ambrosia from the gods....these are just better.....
We also had Patatas Bravas, Risotto, Artichokes, a tomato stew type thingey and miso aubergine. All were incredible. I would include pictures but we ate it all too quickly and forgot technology existed.
Also a mention about the wonderful chap that served us. I was too blinded by the food and shamefully have forgotten the name but you had moved from South American as a youngen. You were superbly wonderful and what seemed like over embellishment of the food in your menu advice turned out to be modest and understated.
Go here. Vegans and meat eater alike,...
