My favourite Indian Restaurant in the wider area of Tramuntana, and the only one in Sóller itself (although there is a sister Red Fort in the Puerto de Sóller). It's a small, cosy, family-run place, with a fairly standard repertoire of excellent curries, tandooris and the usual supporting dishes, starters, poppadums and excellent naan breads. Usual range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Although the location is relatively small and narrow, in common with most mallorquín houses, there is a wheelchair lift to help negotiate the steps and also the access to the downstairs toilets.
Friendly attentive and welcoming staff, they will be very happy to tailor your dishes to your own requirements (ie. hotter, not so spicy...) and the prices are reasonable. The portions are generous, their pilaf rice is good and fluffy, the daal and bhajis excellent and all attractively served - the curries come in mini-balti dishes with the usual heating candle. I've never experienced any problems with communication, either in Spanish or English) and the staff are very attentive, helpful and courteous, yet not over-bearing. Open until late.
There's a small first-floor terrace outside, which is pleasant in summer, but also canopied and heated in winter. If you're in Sóller and hanker after a decent hot curry with a bottle of cold Cobra beer, then do pop in - you won't be...
Read moreHad my first Indian food after 10 days traveling during Christmas time and Google helped me to get there. I went for three times in 2 days. The owner and waiter Jaswinder is a very friendly person and we talked extensively about India, Indian food and NRIs in my mother tongue Hindi. Being an Indian, I have eaten Indian cuisine for whole my life. So, I am a right person to judge the food. I ordered Chicken Balti, Garlic Naan and told them to prepare according tomy taste buds. It was great and I thanked for just hospitality. In dinner ordered a Chicken Tikka Doner. Next day, I was homesick, so ordered Yellow Dal Tadka and Basmati Rice with Salted Lassi. I loved it and want to thank for such hospitality. Highly recommended NRIs, foreigners and...

I had a curry with spinach, ginger, and chicken breast, along with some biryani, and enjoyed every bite. I only wish my stomach had room for more, because I definitely would’ve gone back for seconds.
I sat on the front terrace, which offers a nice view of the nearby five-star hotel and the charming wooden trains that pass by every 5–10 minutes. It's just a short walk from the main square.
The server was super friendly, spoke English, and even brought out an English menu. The food arrived quickly and, like I said, tasted AMAZING (also: very...
