Came here a couple of weeks ago and can say in all my time living in Valencia (10 years) this is the worst dining experience I have ever had. Myself and my girlfiend ordered menu del dia. The starter came first which was edible. Then the main course came out. We ordered Tuna and the thinest tuna steak you've seen was brought to the table and it really smelled terrible. You could smell the fish before it hit the table. Obviously, had been frozen and unsure if it was even safe to eat. When I complained about it the waiter said to me "thats how tuna smells its a fish". Anyway, at that point we realised we had chose the wrong restaurant. Needless to say we didn't eat it. When we sent it back we just got up to pay. They tried to charge us full charge (despite both of us only eating the starter - no mains or desert)and the waitor (who was an old guy) became quite aggressive saying that he had offered us something else off the menu. However, when you have been served food this bad you do not want an alternative. The guy was extremely rude and aggressive. In the end they gave us e10 off the bill after arguing for about 10 mins and speaking to his boss.. The worst experience and food i've had. Avoid...

The menu was wholesome… alubias a la abuela was delicious with various meats and huge butter beans. The Russian salad was very well executed and had a lovely flavour that I couldn’t define (perhaps a secret ingredient!). The dorada was tasty and very well presented. On entering it was empty - on leaving it was full! Would return if...
Read moreGreat menu del dia. For around 13€ you can already enjoy their 3-course meal. What’s best is the location and the interior, the restaurant gives off the whole Sagunto feels and it’s best to dine at the terraza when it’s warm and sunny.
I also just have to give a shout-out to the staff who accommodated a lone tourist. I didn’t have a reservation, I arrived at 15:15h yet they still offered me a table. They also charged my power-bank which was really a great help. I would definitely dine here when I visit Sagunto...
