Cervecería El Rastrel — Restaurant in Salamanca

I went here three times over my two day stay in Salamanca:

First I went too early and there were no pintxos (my fault), so I just had a delicious Elyseo IPA.

Second I went in the evening looking for my wallet, that I had misplaced somewhere else. Lively atmosphere at that time despite my inner turmoil.

Third I went today and finally had the chance to try the famous vegan pintxos. I had three lovely pintxos (the falafel are a must!), a fantastic veggie burger, and a super tasty chocolate cake, as well as a Galician beer. For all this top notch food and drink I paid the very unfair amount of 7 euro, which almost felt wrong.

If you're looking for affordable but great (vegan -- it's really a parenthesis because you should try it even if you're not vegan) food, in a nice, perfectly inclusive atmosphere with a lot of beautiful messages, look no further than Daniel's bar tucked away in the corner of the center of Salamanca. Also, there is a piano and the place is dog-friendly. I could write five reviews about this place. Definitely one of the best establishments I've had the pleasure to visit.

Went there at about 22.30 for some dinner. Had some really tasty vegan rice dish mixed with some soy 'meat' in spicy sauce (I ordered 3 dishes). Had 2 falafels and a samosa too and everything cost only 4 euros! Probably was used to paying at overpriced tourist places. Just note that you have to order at the bar and that there is very little English service (but that should not matter...

Great bar great vegan food! We got two beers, a wine, two mini burgers, and 5 other small serves, enough for dinner for 2, for 10.90€ The food was so good, and so damn cheap!! They didn't have bottled water which was a plus for the environment but the tap water they served was...
