Laurel Hardy's Bar-Restaurant — Restaurant in Salou

During our first time visit to Spain, we found it quite challenging to find vegetarian dining options. We were fortunate to come across this restaurant in salou which although primarily non-vegetarian, offered a few Indian vegetarian dishes. The food was delicious, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared, providing a true taste of home. We enjoyed the food so much that we chose to have dinner here for two consecutive nights. I was really looking forward to eating here as I’ve read reviews saying it’s really good and extremely friendly. Got to the front, read the menu, decided what to eat and start walking in. As I done so, I was removing my t-shirt from my waste band to put it on when a waiter approached me and told me I had to put it on before sitting down. I looked around and pointed at a couple of other tables where people were sitting with the males topless and asked why I need mine on, to be told it’s the law. So locals can be topless but tourists need to wear a top…!!! Never got to try the food because I walked out and won’t be back....

This restaurant was just down the street from my hotel. As I walked past I was engaged by their street rep, who I later learned is a man called Rolf. He is a lovely man, a real character and a great asset to the business. Rolf convinced me, without pressuring me, to return for dinner and I did. The floor staff are really friendly and efficient. I loved the food and returned a few more times during my week in Salou. Thank you guys, ye made my stay in Salou all the more enjoyable. I hope ye have a busy and profitable season.
