Me and my parents just had a meal here at the start of October. It was very quiet, only us and three other tables were there. I had read several reviews criticising the food and service, so I was apprehensive.
We arrived and were welcomed by the staff who seemed friendly. There was a language barrier (I am British visiting a foreign country after all) but we mostly understood each other.
We ordered a Sangria (which was delicious) then placed our food order. We ordered 2 pasta mains, and a children's Bolognese as my mother had a small appetite. To our surprise, the food came out amazingly fast, just a few minutes after our order was taken. When the food arrived, it was mostly very nice. The pork with pasta and focaccia was delicious, however my mum's 'children's bolognese' was quite bland (and massive - but more on that in a minute).
After our mains we ordered a couple desserts; a Tiramisu and a chocolate cake and ice cream kind of thing. These took longer to arrive than the mains but that wasn't a problem, we were enjoying the Sangria. The two desserts came out and were both very nice.
We asked for our bill, and this is when our experience got a little negative. Firstly, they had charged us for an adults Bolognese even though we ordered the children's one. The waitress had even commented when she cleared our table that we had left a lot of Bolognese and we said 'It was very big for a child's portion' but perhaps she didn't understand the point we were making. Anyway they did knock that off the bill with no fuss. After I paid on my card and we were working out who owed what, we realised there was a mistake, the desserts had both been entered twice! So we paid around 14 Euro too much. Again, I explained that this had happened and they refunded me the cost of the desserts in cash (but not the 10% added on top which I think is for a tip - annoying).
All in all, I'd say that the food was nice but we were disappointed by the extra charges. Given how quiet it was, it does make you wonder if it was intentional to try to take a little more money from us. I would recommend a visit, but I would suggest to definitely check your bill...
Read moreService was terrible ... Very rude staff and disrespectful 😒 . We were taking our lunch in town and we decide to try La Tagliatella Pizza from salou. When we arrived we ask if we can order : takeaway "the manager or the supervisor give us the menu and we want to take a sit to read the menu . when he start yelling we can't sit if we want a takeaway order ... which is ridiculous you cant sit on the empty terrace to take time until deciding what you want to order reading the menu ... After we place our order and pay , we decide to eat on the terrace enjoy the pizza with a cold Cerveza . Same story that rude gentleman who was on controlling everything, came to us like we were some scumbag... At the end we bought 2 beers waiting more than 30 minutes for pizza . Other people already received their orders , one of the waiter she came to us ask if she can take my bill to check something. In that momentwe realize they lost our check.. But at the end Damaris she was a lovely sorting our bill out and having patience with us which was nice . Very good food . Delicious pizza but terrible customers service .. very bullied... The gentleman in black controlling the staff being ridiculous rude. 🙄 They need to sort that out . Read moreThe food is lovely, but the service is honestly terrible!! The waiters defo hate their jobs.
We were walking past this place and i love italian food, so we thought we’d go in! We went in at around 3pm. We were first served by a young girl with dark hair, she asked us what we would lke to drink and we asked for a bottle of water, when she walked away from the table she then started to laugh with her colleagues speaking in spanish.. defo laughing about us. It was very strange. We ordered our food, and it was really nice, 20 euros for spaghetti bolognaise though.. anyway it was lovely, but unfortunately they didn’t have any garlic bread :( We then ordered desert, and whilst eating the younger male waiter came over and put the bill on our table.. i thought a bit keen but doesn’t matter, then 2 minutes later He said ‘we are closed now’ and demanded payment there and then, so i had to pay whilst eating desert. The waiters were just staring at us to leave and it was very awkward i wish they would have told us at the start they were closing? we would have gone some where else. Or they could have been a lot nicer about kicking us out. It totally ruined the lovely dinner we...
