Oriental — Restaurant in Salou

Fantastic food, honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Came here twice in a week and loved it both times. While it only seem to be a skeleton crew during the off season (October) the reviews of the staff are nonsense, they’re coming from people who come from English speaking countries and forget that English is their 3rd possibly 4th language so the hesitation in their voice and service is more than reasonable. While it’s Not a normal Asian style restaurant experience, it lacks the stereotypical decor. But you don’t come to be seated in an Asian style restaurant. You come here for the food. The food could be handed directly into my hand and I’d be grateful, pay full price and leave with a smile. If you want good Asian food in Salou come here. If you want a restaurant experience go somewhere else. But I don’t care about how a restaurant looks or how the staff are. I care about good food, good prices and my wife...

Extremely overrated in the reviews! Wow! I waited 1 hour for my starters ALONE which was 4 tiny pieces of boiled dumplings. I then requested for a small tiny bowl of sweet-and-sour sauce to put on top of my fried rice and the waiter brought it to me when I had finished my rice.. And bearing in mind I was eating my rice very slowly as I was waiting for the sauce to come before I had finished it. And mind you, the restaurant wasn’t that busy!

The food tasted very average. Although it is very cheap and affordable, the quality and service is not there. I was waiting so long for my food to the point where I had to pull out my phone and watch programs just to keep me going. The ribs tasted very stale and hard as if it was cooked days before. It's not what I expected as far as a restaurant goes, it's more like a cafe, cafe chairs and tables, arrived and outa the 6 tables outside 2 where occupied and the rest were empty but absolutely covered in plates and food, they don't clear the tables until the next customers arrive, as I watched the next 4 sets of customers arrive and only having the tables cleared and cleaned while they were seated, Food was ordered and arrived, the plates they provided was side plates for ALL dishes, very small portions, hubby ordered chicken curry with NO veg, arrived with the veg, he had about 6 small pieces of chicken,y prawns were small and had tails on, so had to sit removing all tails before I could eat.
