Ruby Tuesdays — Restaurant in Salou

My partner and I had a fantastic experience at this American Diner. We were extremely sad that it took us four days, whilst on holiday from the UK, to try out this place … more fool us. Food was incredible and the service was fantastic! It was a pleasure to experience such a place and we will definitely be returning for more before we return home. Cannot recommend this American Diner enough! I have no words, I’m completely speechless. We ordered chicken, ribs and chips, which were all cooked to perfection! As well as a New York cheesecake which was to die for! I’ve never eaten such quality before, thank you so much! On top of this, I thoroughly enjoyed the mustard sauce …. Which surprised me as I don’t even like mustard 😅 all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can’t thank the staff enough. So to all the tourists out there visiting this area, do yourselves a favour and go check this place out! I 100% guarantee you won’t be disappointed ♥️

Absolutely Awful Avoid at All Costs!

I'm currently on holiday, feeling unwell and resting at the hotel. My husband kindly went to pick up food for me after our first choice restaurant was fully booked unfortunately, he ended up at this place (which we've tried in the past under a different name, something Jack Daniels-inspired, if I recall).

Let me tell you the food was absolutely dreadful.

I ordered a chicken burger, which came with half a pickle, a thick slice of tomato, no sauce, and the chicken itself was so overcooked it was rock hard. No flavour. No seasoning. Nothing.

The chips were stone cold, greasy, and tasted like old oil. As for the so-called “buffalo wings”? No heat, no buffalo flavour just oily, bland, rubbery chicken. Even the Coke was warm.

To make matters worse, I’m still hungry, feeling worse than before, and my husband wasted good money on this mess.

Another newly opened restaurant in Salou that is a perfect fit. Emma and Lynn did a lovely job of feeling welcomed, and also taking the time to really TALK to is as customers. We were in the mood for breakfast given the time of day, and there was plenty of choice for myself and my American wife. I settled for the ‘medium breakfast’ (2 ... eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, slices of toast, and accompanied by a good portion of baked beans), and my wife had (of course) pancakes and syrup with 🥓. It was refreshing to see all the ingredients were ‘anglicised’ (british bacon and sausages) and not the normal Spanish substitutes. Also pleased to see butter and HP sauce on the table to make it an authentic British fry-up. I was very happy with my meal and couldn’t even contemplate how much food the XXL meal could be! We will return and look forward to sample the more authentic American cuisine...
