It is a nice enough little place for an amusement park restaurant. However, there are reasons to go here for food and reasons to not.
Firstly, the positives. Me and my family, of three, were staying at Hotel Caribe. We used our money vouchers to book in at this restaurant, regardless their busy atmosphere and having to turn customers away, as we were a booking they managed to fit us in. Me and my mum are both vegetarians and struggled throughout the park as a whole, to find restaurants that cater to our diets. However, we both had the vegan meatballs and it was delicious. My dad had the sweet ham pizza, which he also seemed to enjoy. The food came out fast, and hot as well, good food for again, an amusement park restaurant.
Now to the negatives, although the restaurant has an indoor area (which was entirely empty at our arrival) they seem to place all their guests in their outdoor seating area, which consists of around 14 tables of four, all closely compact together, which is not ideal for space. As well as this, you also have to deal with being eaten alive by the various bugs which are attracted to you while eating. This was not ideal. Although the food came out fast and hot, service itself was relatively slow. We were told to wait in the entrance area after being checked in, and was told a member of staff would see us to a table, although there were tables available, we found ourselves stood there for some time as workers continously walked past us, with no hello or even recognition.
Once we were seated, it then took even more time to have our drinks order taken, I don't know if they wait longer here to take orders so food and drinks are taken together, as that is what happened here, but in a country that reaches 34⁰ you'd think their drink service would be slightly faster. Lastly, prices. We went here due to our 20 euros voucher that we get for each adult, curtesy of our hotel. However, if you are a family visiting PortAventura, I would not recommend going here for a cheap meal.
Other than that and the rather lifeless staff who can't seem to crack a smile when serving. The place isn't...
Read moreBad restaurant to eat in especially if you like me have a severe allergy. This is not the first restaurant that we ate in that park that have this issue. I ordered what seemed to be a vegetarian 'mushroom and truffle' pasta however, I was told it may contain traces of seafood. So I try again with another explicitly 'vegetarian' pasta and was yet again told the same thing. How is that vegetarian if it contains traces??This is the first restaurant which I have been to that nearly all pasta except the Bolognese contains traces of allergens which in my opinion is terrible for someone with allergens who is just looking forward to having a nice meal and not be restricted to having something they probably wouldn't order if given the choice. In the end, I had to order some vegan nuggets and fries from the children's menu, which arrived dry and unseasoned. When asked what sauces do they have, we were told only ketchup however as we left the restaurant, we saw that they actually have mayonnaise. When the bill came we discovered that we had been charged for a full 'children's menu' which should have come with other items like a dessert but I wasn't given any nor was I asked about the option. Avoid this restaurant if you have allergies and wish to be treated with any sympathy or...
Read moreThe worst experience here with custom services . It was our first time trying this place,
We waited in a queue for 30 min to be seated, the manager Rosa and Diego Wouldn’t let us in until our kids arrived, explaining that in a very non professional rude manner
After we sat, ( taking a table just for 2) ( other tables in the restaurant were empty) and ordered drinks, the manager approached in a rude manner asking to order food immediately, as we can’t sit at the table for too long, even though we just ordered drinks and were going through the menu
It was a dinner time, a long day in Port Aventura, and we just wanted to rest and have a relaxed dinner, After being forced to order in a unpleasant rude way, ( that i ve experienced in any restaurant) a restaurant manager,
We paid for our drinks, and left, the atmosphere here was unpleasant unprofessional and when we left the manager was not to solve the problem but raising her voice, we are two mothers , who were planning to eat with 6 more kids, we were shocked and just left
I wouldn’t recommend this place , ...
