Spaghetti House Salou — Restaurant in Salou

On first glance it looked like a nice authentic Italian restaurant, but let me assure you...that is just cosmetic!!! It's mutton dressed up as lamb, a kitchen full of microwaves and really poor, probably frozen, shop bought food. Ordered the garlic bread and garlic bread with mozzarella, only after I ordered that, I spotted the shop bought loaf of bread, and all the microwaves, the bread was smeared with garlic butter and covered with cheap mozzarella, then chucked in microwave, the bread was soggy underneath, edible but disrespectful towards any Italian restaurant. No wood fired oven here just a grill , the pizza base was premade , poor quality and was delivered to the table , burnt around the edges, my daughter's was the pepperoni pizza, and she couldn't eat it as the meat was sour. It doesn't end there, the french fries were hot upon arrival but tasted like cardboard, no flavour , no fluff, just no pride at all for the quality of anything, my wife's lasagna was also microwaved and covered with bechamel sauce to hide the dryness from being nouked...Lastly , there was a Spanish waitress that seen our distain, she got a right cob on, was seriously rude and did everything but let us pay the bill until I said I would leave without paying unless she took payment immediately, her colleague had to tell her to sort it out, so she did....I chose this place on its reviews...which were mainly positive...my experience was not...

2023 :Last year and the year before we visited this restaurant several times always a fantastic experience. This year i went for take out, ordered two pizza's to go. I am sorry to say, this was a bad choice. The pizza was raw / uncooked in the middel ( dough) and burned on the outside. I asked if the margaritha could made with less cheese, but even this was not okay. First time that they did a poor job. Next time take the time and prepare it well.

2022: Fantastic experience, great italian food, with a wide variety. Prices match a wonderfull fresh made meal. Very friendly personell who serve you quickly and with humor and a smile. This restaurant also serves meals without gluten. Wheelchair friendly, wheelchair friendly restroom with sliding door. Also for families, kids can choose from different meals and they have child seats.

It was a long that me and my wife have eaten this well. Check was € 51.30 without tip ( offcourse we left a tip 😁 ) We had :

Food was ok however service was a literal joke. We waited an hour and 20 mins for our food to come out to us. People who came in after us were served and had left and we still hadn’t gotten any food. When we politely queried where our food was after an hour of waiting the waiter told us passive aggressively it takes time as it’s made fresh, which we understand but it should not take that long to make two pasta dishes and a pizza. Upon our visit we witnessed another table facing the same issue as us and who also asked where their food was. Neither issues were dealt in a proper manner. It nearly seemed that we weren’t welcomed there especially since all the waiting staff avoided us throughout our whole visit. Food is ok but service would put you off visiting. All waiting staff are rather unprofessional, and I understand there is a language barrier, however there was no apology or acknowledgment when they realised we hadn’t received our food after 30 mins instead they...
