Are you looking for the best pizza in Maspalomas? Stop searching, you just reached the right place. Seriously. As somebody who lives here I've visited many Italian restaurants, even the expensive ones in Avenida de Tirajana, nothing compares to this one. The closest you can get to an authentic Italian pizza with soft, yet crunchy dough, filled with high-quality ingredients. The pizzas are juicy and at the same time they are never ever soggy like in many places. I also love the slight charcoal taste of the dough at the bottom, and don't get me wrong - pizzas are never burned or something like this - they have enough of that smoky taste to bring depth to the flavour of the dough. Speaking of the dough, just by on its own, it tastes really good - I don't know how they do it, but I would assume they use a special flour or some sort of a blend. My favourite pizza would be the "Bufalina" - light, juicy, with extra fresh mozzarella in the center and delicious tomato paste - perfect for the hot days. It will convince you that simplest food is the best. The service is always friendly with a big smile on the face of the waitress. :) The prices are so affordable that sometimes I can't believe how they manage to do it. In any case, please change nothing, you found the perfect formula to make this place the best Italian...
Read moreVery poor service from an “Italian” restaurant. Never had any issues with any Italian restaurant in Gran Canaria let alone anywhere else in the world (authentic Italian restaurants). Menu on google mentioned grilled chicken (not on the menu when at the restaurant) as well as nuggets but our experience left us going elsewhere to enjoy an authentic Italian meal and not being rejected for trying to order nuggets as well as pizza and starters plus drinks! Apparently the nuggets are only for kids!? And Italians do eat chicken as the waitress made some strange remarks about this. Glad my money was better spent elsewhere. So the owner admits to an out of date menu and apparently I have never been to a real Italian restaurant. Well this must be the worst real Italian restaurant as I was refused to order a meal with nuggets as per their own menu. I suggest you update your menu and provide the service as experienced and expected at real Italian...
Read moreAlthough I have not tried all the pizzas in town, the pizza here is what the rest should strive to come close to. Proper long and cold fermented Italian thin crust pizza, with simple high quality ingredients, baked at a high temperature. Just as they are supposed to be.
If you're tired of the 6 hour tasteless flatbread all to often encountered, that would make your nonna cry, go here. You will not be disappointed.
They also do good pasta and other staple Italian dishes. The menu is varied, and very reasonably priced for the quality.
To top it all off, the owners are very nice, and will take good care of you.
You think the location is too remote, far from the beach, or your hotel or have some other excuse? Go here anyway. Take a taxi if need be. It is...
