A surprise find in the almost dilapidated Faro 2 complex in Maspaloma. Situated inside near the supermarket. Plenty of tables inside and outside but still undercover. They serve a mixture of meat, fish and pasta dishes. I had spaghetti in a tomato sauce with mushrooms and it was very tasty. My partner had vegetable lasagne and said it was lovely. I saw others having steak and jacket a potato cooked in tin foil in the ovan, just like we used to do before microwaves were invented. I also saw another eating a tuna steak with chips which looked huge. The waiter was very friendly and funny and they had a live traditional Spanish guitar player which made the great atmosphere. The owners friendly.. Steak was great.
Prawns and mushrooms was more like mushrooms and a prawn.
Then when he asked if I wanted bread he charged 1.70 for a petit pan that cost him 10c.... The wine was good.
The steak was good although not the cut I ordered.

I'm Giving 4 stars because I want these people to do well. Food was good... 11 euro for a starter however is hideous... Frozen prawns and I even question the mushroom.... Then 1.70 for the bread to dip.... I feel "had"

Yes, you're surrounded by empty shops and security fences on the first floor, but the restaurant can't help that and they had a live singer which made for a great atmosphere despite the surroundings.
