Like some other people have mentioned, don't judge a restaurant by its location, this is really worth going out of your way for. We were staying close by and didn't fancy a walk one evening so we walked through an underground shopping precinct to this restaurant. There was an authentic welcome (great opportunity to practice your Spanish, if you want to) and we ordered a few plates of food, jumping straight into the main courses. I had the pork rib, my wife and son both ordered the chicken and we all had sides of severiana style potatoes, which are seasoned french fries (even better with the sweet red pepper sauce). The smells coming from the kitchen dragged up memories of the longest summer days with the best BBQs smells forcing our mouths to water and when the food arrived it didn't fail to live up to the anticipation. Perfectly cooked, no excessive charring, really flavoursome and even a sense of theatre when serving the chicken. Despite having only a little room after the mains, we were persuaded to try a couple of local desserts, one more chocolatey like a mousse and biscuit combination and the other a coconut ice-cream, both were delicious and ended the meal naturally. The bill arrived and it really was great value for money, better still it came with complementary shots. It was the best meal we've had during our holiday and a really enjoyable friendly...
Read moreI don’t know how the people have been giving five stars to this restaurant, cos that’s way too much. I’m even thinking two stars is too much.
Atmosphere is not attempting but we wanted to give a shot cos the reviews were good. Service was okay but extremely slow.
We had a mixed grill and the chicken and pork were as dry as the Sahara desert is. Sausages were good and blood pudding was superb. But all the meat was really really dry and it took forever to get it even that there was no other customers.
French fries were soaking in the oil, so the oil has been too cold or old.
We didn’t get our ordered pepper sauce, but it wasn’t on the bill either. But didn’t want to order it again while eating cos it would take so long time that our food would be cold by then.
Unfortunately this place is a missed...
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended by a local and I booked it for husband birthday . The setting is a little strange but don’t let that put you off . Before we tried the food we were puzzled because of the setting . Then the first course arrived and oh my oh my .
Each dish was better and better it was really amazing food . Hiding away in a shopping centre basement is a really amazing find .
You should make a reservation like we did as word of this place is out there now and it was rammed from 8pm .
The Morcilla was best I’ve ever had and I’ve had the best all over Spain .
If I could just give a wee bit of advice to the owners id say some plants and fairy lights. Maybe turn it into a surprise grotto would really add to the experience when you come down the stairs past the...
