LA PERLA NEGRA (PAELLAS SOLO ENCARGO) — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

The restaurant feels so out of place on inside this shopping centre that is stuck in time, but don't let that put you off from experiencing great service and a very high standard of food. Croquettes were delicate and delicious. The squid ink risotto was cooked well and tasted great, albeit the accompanying octopus and prawns were a little plain. The octopus with potatos, onions and peppers were full of flavour and our highlight. Needless to say, the baked cookie with ice cream provided the perfect balance. Sadly, we missed out on the famed Paella as you have to book a day in advance!...

We stumbled upon this restaurant, as we recognised the waiter from another restaurant. We thought we would go and say hi! We are so pleased we did. We decided to have a meal there, that night and on a couple of other nights. Both the food and service was always fantastic you sometimes have a bit of a wait thats because all the food is cooked fresh to order. They do tell you when you arrive that the wait might be longer than usual so it's your choice if you stay or not. The food is so exellent that if you have a little wait it's so worth it. Allows smoking indoors. The worst. Cannot recommend this place.

Update: the 2 meters from the restaurant to the "terrace" won't help with constantly inhaling smoke from the smokers. The mall barely has any openings for the smoke to escape, hence even the whole area around this restaurant will reek of cigarette smoke.

Dear owner, you should be ashamed that you defend this instead of fixing the issue. But I guess money from the smoking guests is more important.
