Restaurante Parque Romántico — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

What a great place. For some reason it’s very difficult for most restaurants in Maspalomas to serve proper food. We are happy that we found this place (through google).

With two people we shared 4 dishes and had some bread and this was enough for both of us.

The QUALITY OF THE FOOD is amazing. The meat was baked and seasoned perfectly and the presentation was as it should be in a restaurant. We had the octopus, wreck fish croquettes, Iberian feather steak and the chocolate dessert. All were great!

I’m not a big WINE drinker but I tasted the house wine (by the glass) and it went well with the different dishes.

The AMBIANCE was nice with how they decorated the terrace but please know there is a tennis court next to the terrace with bright white lights in the evening.

The SERVICE was also amazing the two people who served the whole restaurant were very friendly and ensured a good tempo in which they served the food.

VALUE FOR MONEY is in my option very good. Most of the restaurants in Maspalomas are focused on a quick and cheap meal, where here the focus is on the food. Yes it will be more expensive than the awful (and I mean really bad) steakhouse next to the cita shopping center two blocks away) but it is sooooo...

The service (at first) and fish dishes (sea bass, octopus, fish croquettes) were fantastic. However, one of the dishes, creamy rice with shrimps and mushrooms, had a really watery and bland taste, and the mushrooms had a bad side taste. All five of us tried it, and found it bad. We couldn't finish it, and the waitress asked us how it was. We explained politely that we found the taste strange. What happened next was why I'm writing this review. She somehow got offended, and decided not to serve us after that. We were considering still ordering desserts, but as we didn't get her attention we decided to take the bill. It was weird that we were treated this way, as we simply gave feedback about the food, and nothing personal about her or any of the staff obviously. We felt very disappointed. Obviously giving negative feedback is not something enjoyable, and you don't expect the receiver to make you feel bad for giving it, especially in a five star restaurant. Also the steak we ordered as medium minus was well done (cooked through) and wasnt good. Go for the fish if you...

This has to be one of the best dining experiences in the area. Google reviews are very high for this restaurant which is why we decided to book it for our wedding anniversary. We did unfortunately have to delay our visit by two days but the change was completed with ease. Thanks for your understanding.

We were not disappointed! You enter via a closed gate with a number to call on your arrival. Sounds a fuss but it wasn’t. There are comments that if it’s hard to find but is straight in front of the gates.

We were welcomed and shown to our table which had been nicely presented to mark the occasion. There is the option to sit in side air conditioned and terrace. We sat inside.

The service from the team throughout was quite exceptional. Well done to all involved.

The meals were really well thought through and the seasoning in particular was just perfect. The pork fillet was fabulous. Well done chef!

We have tried most of the highly rated Restaurants in the area but this has to be in the top two. We look forward to re visiting when we return...
