I was born in Thailand so I know what Thai food should taste like. -mix starters plate. Both the peanut dip and the chilly dip were very watery, no consistence at all. Also, I have experienced the stingiest spring roll ever: only filled with glass noodles. The chicken skewers were over fried and dried. The shrimps were smashed. The chicken wings with onions and green peppers (not a thai recipe at all) were surprisingly ok. -Pad thai: could have been good but over sweet. Too much sugar in it. -Pineapple fried rice: opted for chicken. Wrong pick. Unchewable. Tasteless rice. And why put green peppers in fried rice….?! -We ordered two cocktails: very barely any alcohol in it. -Service: not very there. So why only three stars? Well, the food price is a bit on the high side, which is perfectly fine considering the increased expenses. That said, I found some dishes (especially the starters) too basic. My proposal for making them fit the bill:
We attended as a group of 6 men. Apparently the waitress addressed us a "chicas", wich is considerably disrespectful, if not homophobic. The first round of drinks came with a broken glass bottle with glass splinters inside and one already opened and half empty bottle of ginger beer. The food was not served together but rather in small portions over a period of 45min, so parts of the dishes went cold. The second waiter didn't get one dish right and repeatedly told us, he couldn't be bothered with who ordered what dish. After a number of complaints they tried to fix the dishes, warm them up, but still left us waiting for the bill for nearly one hour. The food itself was alright after they warmed it.
