Nice atmosphere. Out plates were excellent. We shared a starter Huevos rotos la Abadía (a fried egg broken over French fries). Had we known it was so large we may have ordered less for mains. Though nice I would have preferred another egg not just one. We had Carrilleras de res al vino tinto acompañadas de puré de papas (beef cheeks with red wine sauce with mashed potatoes) excellent if a little large. And we also had Solomillo de Cerdo relleno de queso ahumado de vaca sobre cama de papas fritas y salsa de guayaba arándanos y boletus. (Loin of pork stuffed with smoked cheese, from cows milk, on a bed of fried potatoes, actually potato chips, and a sauce from guava, cranberry and mushrooms). This was very delicious. So, everything was great and unless you are super hungry you probably don’t need a starter.

I visited that great place on Thursday afternoon with my girlfriend. We were seated inside next to the window. Very good service. The young guy who served us knew what he's doing. The waiter offered us a better table outside even when we were sitting inside at the good one. We stayed where we were. All the food was very well spiced. We really enjoyed rabbit stuffed potatoes and tender medium rare steak. The waiter who served us was great even when serving a full house by himself. We left 28% tip that was well deserved by him.

La Abadia is really a jewel waiting to be discovered in La Laguna! From the moment you enter you feel the cozy, authentic vibe which stays with you throughout your entire stay there. Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing food (you have to try the pork tenderloin stuff with cheese and blueberry sauce), lovely music... everything contributes to an awesome experience! One of the best restaurants we've been to in Tenerife, La Abadia is a must visit!
