My friend took me there for breakfast even though he had experienced bad service before but wanted to give them onether chance as the place is really nice.
We went for breakfast but ended up having brunch as the order took for ever to come... the coffees arrived after 10 minutes but the food didn't. After 30 minutes wait, we asked for our food...apparently the order didn't go through the first time, so we had to order again (while doing this... 2 customers sitting next to our table that have been waiting to be served decided to leave) ... by this time we have finished our coffees as they were getting cold. To make up for the delay, we were given two more coffees on the house. Once the food finally arrived, it wasn't what I ordered...they gave me the wrong bread and forgot the jam (all I wanted was a simple toast with jam & butter). I asked for jam again but I never got it.
The place wasn't busy, I don't want to imagine how it would be if there have been a few more customers with us.
I don't understand why the management is not doing anything to improve the service when there are so many people complaining about it and they only seem to respond to positive reviews and ignore the bad ones.
I will not be like my friend and give them a...
Read moreWe decided to leave the tourist spots in the South of the island and took a bus then a tram to get to this place in the historic area of the North, and we were glad we did.
Looking around for somewhere to eat on a lovely day, we found this place. Right in one of the best tourist spots, in the sun, we had a leisurely lunch which was very good.
A jarra of local beer, a generous Mediterranean salad and a side portion of olives certainly hit the spot.
Service was relaxed, the salad took some time to come, but we were on holiday so had plenty of time. Staff were patient, cheerful and helpful. The salad was freshly made and supplied with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste.
It was followed by a decent coffee, a Cappuccino for me and an Americano for my wife.
Pricing was reasonable under 9 euros for the salad, and 3 euros for my Cappuccino. A generous helping of olives were a bargain at 1 euro.
The menu was available in English from a QR code on the table and we managed to get a table in the shade from an umbrella to watch the...
Read moreLovely place for breakfast and hang around. Good for coffee, breakfast, beers and friends meetings etc.... but now with an excuse of inflation they have bombarded their prices. This place is the most expensive 🫰 among entire La Laguna. And the prices are not worth of the provided service nor quality of food. Maybe you might feel more delightful having something at hotel Nivaria or Gran Hotel La Laguna. In fact it's worth paying there few euros more there then here. I understand if people are seated for a longer time by just ordering 2 cups of coffee and it's not compensated for the business income but in that case it's worth having a signage displayed with respective time frame for a cup of coffee 15 minutes max, plus additional time service charges applied. But it doesn't seems fare for paying 3 times a value for single product just because some other customer as occupied your table for 2 hours. This will only cause loss of your genuine customers. My last 5 visits were complete...
