Truly Disappointing – Cold Food, Missing Items, and Rude Service One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the staff were cold and unfriendly, and it didn’t get any better from there. The food was a complete letdown. The burger we ordered arrived cold, and the pork dish — which was supposed to come with chips and peppers — came with no peppers at all. On top of that, we paid €16 for a “cauliflower with rice” dish that turned out to be just a small pile of cauliflower with a rice cracker on top. No actual rice. It felt like a joke. (Photo attached.) When we pointed out how misleading and disappointing that dish was, the manager did remove it from the bill and asked if we wanted something else. But by that point, we had lost all trust and appetite, and just wanted to leave. Then came the cherry on top — as we were settling the bill, the waitress actually asked if we wanted to leave a tip. My response: hell no. After that level of service and food quality, it was almost insulting to even ask. This place might have a nice look from the outside, but the reality is a badly managed, overpriced restaurant that fails on the basics — both in food and hospitality. Absolutely would not recommend.

This used to be one of my favorite places in the world. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the experience has gone downhill. Portions are smaller, prices are higher, and the quality has noticeably declined. The espetos arrived nearly raw, missing the signature crispy skin that makes them so enjoyable. It’s clear the essence of the dish—and the tradition—has been lost. They’ve also removed some of the highlights of the old menu, like the octopus espeto and coquinas, which is a real shame. While the space itself is now a bit cuter, with nicer chairs and a pleasant vibe, the service left much to be desired. There were more servers than before, yet basic things were forgotten—no olives to start, no cleaning wipes, and it took ages for dishes to be cleared. Repetimos, porque nos gustó mucho el primer día Vinimos a este Chiringuito por las buenas críticas de TA y la verdad es que no nos confundimos. Situado en la Playa de Torre Guadiaro, nos atendieron muy bien las 2 veces que fuimos y es que se ve que hay el personal necesario y eso se nota mucho. Además podías decir a cualquier empleado lo que querías, que tomaba nota y nos atendía (no como en esos sitios que solo te atiende una persona y que encima o tiene muchas mesas o está por ahi perdida). El primer día que fuimos comimos a base de espetos: De comida principal una dorada al espeto, que estaba riquísima. También compartimos gambones y sardinas al espeto. El señor que hace los espetos lleva ya trabajando para este Restaurante 9 años y ha hecho espetos toda su vida, lo que se nota en la calidad y el punto que da a los mismos.

Tienen unas tortitas de camarones, que las pedimos porque nos llamó la atención al verlas y la verdad es que no nos defraudaron. Son posiblemente las más ricas que hemos comido. Los postres son minipostres y la verdad es que están muy ricos y se toman muy bien El segundo día comimos a base de pescados fritos, compartiendo raciones. Comimos un atún riquísimo. Este año hemos comido en este chiringuito 3 veces y la verdad es que da gusto, porque la atención es muy buena y la calidad de la comida también. Aquí se comen auténticas tortillas de camarones y pescados al espeto: Lubinas, Sardinas, Doradas, Pulpo que están riquísimos. Se nota que la persona que los hace tiene experiencia y además los sabe hacer. Los minipostres muy ricos y la verdad es que es mejor así, porque si no un postre grande sería difícil de comerlo. Aunque este año hacía mucho calor y es muy difícil poder dar buena sombra, se esforzaban para ello (Nosotros este año les dimos una ayuda: Somos los que pusimos las pinzas para unir las lonas). El personal atentísimo y atienden todos a todos, siendo cada día más agradable visitarlos...
