We stumbled on this gem while wandering around San Sebastián, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip. The guy running the place was incredibly kind and clearly passionate about the food, which made the whole experience even better. As someone who’s pretty picky with flavours, I was seriously impressed. The hummus was smooth and balanced with just the right hit of everything. The cheese sticks were crisp on the outside, perfect inside, nothing like the usual greasy versions you get elsewhere. The salmon tatar was bright, fresh, and beautifully seasoned. The pork cheeks were cooked to perfection, unbelievably tender and rich without being heavy. And the brownie was deep, fudgy, and clearly made with good quality chocolate. You can really tell care goes into everything. This place could 100% be a...

First of all, the waiter asked us not to stay long, because he had other reservations for 3 p.m. -with a very poor Spanish. Secondly, when he heard that we wanted to order desserts, he disappeared somewhere for a while and when he came back he almost chased us away, without offering anything in return, neither a change of place nor anything, he said that we should leave, because they don't sell only desserts. How long would we eat this dessert - 10 minutes? Seriously... And besides, we had a reservation made, in person, and we asked about cheesecake. At the time, no one mentioned that this would be a problem... shameful behavior. And a...

We discovered this amazing little restaurant while walking around San Sebastian looking for the perfect dinner spot. The food was authentic and fresh, the service warm and welcoming and the atmosphere warm and casual. We loved the crispy cheese rolls (nothing like a "mozzerella stick" from the US), the zucchini and carrot fritters (so fresh and light!), the risotto, and beef rib. I highly recommend!

I'm so glad there's a really good Turkish place in Donostia! It's really somewhere between Turkish and Greek, but since they have raki rather than ouzo, I'll call it Turkish 😉 - in any case the history and food are interrelated (and delicious 😋). It's mostly a locals place... We were the only customers from 8 pm until almost 9 - even on a Sat night - but by 9:30 when we left, it was quite busy.

Highly recommend Agora for a sit down meal in San Sebastian! The food was absolutely delicious, with a small but good selection of wines to accompany. The server was very kind and seemed to truly care about the place. Rustic atmosphere that reminded me of my nonno's place - great to escape the heat!
