Antzara Taberna — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Yesterday my fanny pack containing all of my bank cards, ID, cash and house keys were stolen, leaving me in complete distress. The restaurant manager Jon, came to my rescue. He advised me on reporting the theft, gave me directions to the municipal police and generously offered me 20€ so that I could get back to France.

It is not everyday you experience this level of humanity. Although an unfortunate situation, his kindness, reassurance and sincerity will be greatly cherished. I can’t thank...

We were staying in the neighborhood and passed this place several times a day. It was always packed. There were a couple of seats open on our last night so we ducked in and grabbed a spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re not inside then folks can watch the game either through the windows or the seat’s outside. We weren’t super hungry so we ordered cerveza, txakoli, ensalada burrata and calamares. Seems more like a local hangout either way a handful of tourists...

Very nice place with personable service and nice pintxos with classic American soul music playing in the background. Came for a cafe and returned for a beer and pintxo later in the day. Friendly to tourists but a lot of locals eating and drinking.

Update: ordered take out and they accidentally gave me the wrong item however the waiter ran down the street to find me and bring me my food. ...
