It is good for only for phoren people and bad for Desi people is the review of all the reviews I have read here. My bad I did this after spending my money at this restaurant. As a foodie I was loving the trip to San Sebastian, all that positive vibes crashed after a visit here.
Unbelievable that this place is rated above 4 Got a plastic like chicken leg as tandoori chicken. Worst peice of tandoori in my whole life. And gambas tikka has no semblence of tikka masala Only some food coloring. No marination on chicken tikka . The mutton korma was more like kheer, overtly sweet. Service was the worst of all. Plain rude. We were 3 groups of people. The waiter doesn't want to take 3 separate orders. He tell us to group our order for him. And the surprise of it all. Bill was delivered even before the food. It was not pocket friendly 115euros for 6 disappointed people.
Only good thing was rotis and the quality of the briyani rice. Biryani chicken and chicken tikka were the same but price higher for tikka, which was the worst of both. Biryani also not good.
Pakistanis Indians Bangladeshis Srilankans . Please avoid this place to save the disappointment. As for the rest...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I am very particular about my Indian food. The service was ok - the waiter was so focused on the next group that came in while he was taking our order he turned his head a few times. I found that to be rude. He or a colleague didn't come by to check on us. My boys got mango lassi which was foamy and I've definitely had better! I ordered vegetarian pairs and they had more of a samosa filling versus that of proper pairs. My boys ordered chicken tikka masala and my oldest ate all of his dish with garlic naan but dodnt touch the rice - not sure why but he always has rice at other Indian restaurants. My main entree was palak paneer medium spicy. While the palak was as expected, the paneer was similar to a burrata - not as expected. I ended up only eating the spinach with my garlic naan. Of note, the naan was tasty. The chutneys were different - we're used to the tamarind chutney which was not available but there was a sweeter chutney (red in color) which did the job. Overall, we went here hoping we could have a full proper meal, but I dont think it met...
Read moreThis restaurant is quite misleading. It calls itself “Indian Bollywood,” but the food, service, and overall feel of the place don’t really reflect anything truly Indian.
The food was not tasty at all. It was extremely oily and didn’t look or taste like real Indian dishes. It felt like they were just using the name to attract customers, but not actually offering proper Indian food.
The service was also really bad. The waiters were dressed in casual clothes — some in shorts, t-shirts, and even slippers. It didn’t feel like a proper restaurant at all. No uniforms, no manners, no basic standards.
One of the waiters put the plates on our table in a very careless way, as if he was in a big hurry, even though the restaurant was almost empty.
Overall, everything — the food, the staff, the place — felt low quality. The name “Indian Bollywood” gives you the wrong idea. It sets an expectation that the restaurant doesn’t meet at all.
I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for real Indian food or even a normal...
