This is a request the management to seriously look into this case as our fine dining experience was ruined by the attitude of the waiter with beard on the bar. On the other hand, all other waiters were supportive and welcoming.
Sequence of events:
On 09/25/2024 at 9:45 PM we visited Gross Napoletano
1- Order was served with items that we had allergy from, which doesn’t match what we have ordered. However, we politely requested to change to match our order. He started acting rude.
2- He removed his name tag and brought back the pizza half cooked and literally threw it on the table.
3- Upon receive of receipt, instead of replacing the wrong pizza with new one, he charged it twice and it was removed based on our request. Also, we requested to split into 4. He refused in a very rude way and directed his colleagues not to split the receipt and started speaking in Spanish.
This attitude doesn’t represent Bask people and only represents him, however, i believe restaurant Grosso should assess the quality...

They told us the table was occupied and we had to return at the time of our reservation even though there where clearly empty tables but maybe those are for other guests, that was not a problem, but, when we return, they seat us at the same table that had been empty before.
We sat down and they told us they had no salads or antipasti, they had run out, which was disappointing. Then for 15 min our table was ignored, we had to call over a waiter that was cleaning another table to get them to take our order. We sat down at 21:30 and at 22:20 we still didn’t have any food. Finally they bring the pizzas first, without our starters. We told the waiter and he asked if we where sure we hadn’t had our starters yet, then brought them AFTER the pizza because there had been a mistake.
The food was good, but the experience was chaotic, and I do not recommend coming to this restaurant.

Read moreTras realizar una reserva para un grupo grande me comentan que se debe hacer menú cerrado, a lo que estoy de acuerdo.
El trato del camarero desde la llegada ha sido nefasto. Llegando a la hora reservada no tenían la mesa preparada. Le hemos dicho si nos podemos sentar en otra que tenían preparada para el mismo número de personas, a lo que accede después de ponernos muchas pegas. Curiosamente en lo que queda de noche no aparece ningún otro grupo tan grande de personas, lo que me hace dudar de la capacidad de gestionar las reservas.
Tras pedir nuestra comida nos dice que hay una pizza a la que no le queda speck, preguntamos si pueden poner jamón para compensar y nos dice que no, que debemos pagar 2€ extra por ello.
En cuanto nos sacan el plato principal nos pregunta si queremos pizza de Nutella porque pronto deberán cerrar la cocina. Pedimos 3 y se ponen a ello.
A los 2 minutos (recién empezado el plato principal) viene otro camarero y nos dice que nos tienen que sacar ya las pizzas de Nutella. Le pedimos si puede esperar ya que nos acaban de sacar el principal, dice que va a preguntar al encargado y no vuelve. Una vez terminado el plato principal vuelve el camarero y nos dice que no nos pueden sacar las pizzas de Nutella que habíamos pedido porque han cerrado la cocina y que tenemos que coger otros postres. Una auténtica vergüenza.
Nos obligan a elegir los postres, de los cuales sólo quedan 2 disponibles.
Para rematar, nos dicen que en breve deben cerrar y que debemos teminar e irnos.
Si el local permite hacer una reserva a las 21:45, nosotros llegamos a la hora exacta y por tiempos no da tiempo a los camareros a cumplir los horarios del local, NO debemos ser los clientes los que terminemos pagando las consecuencias. Además, si obliga a cenar con un menú cerrado del que varios platos o postres no los pueden servir, deberían ofrecer otras alternativas.
Si este es el trato que se quiere dar al cliente me parece vergonzoso, no va a durar mucho el local abierto en San Sebastián. Hay otras opciones como la Mina, NAP, la veccia, etc. en las que el trato del personal es como mínimo amable.
