Carai — Restaurant in San Sebastián

We tried a double espresso and a matcha latte. The espresso was darker than we prefer, even though we asked for the lighter roast, and the matcha was too milky and not warm enough.

Service was okay—not unfriendly, but also not particularly attentive.

The café itself is modern but quite narrow. Seating is on cardboard boxes, which sounds unusual but was actually surprisingly comfortable. It was easy to chat without too much noise, and the overall design felt cute and clearly aimed at a younger crowd.

We also shared a tiramisu. It looked great at first, but unfortunately it was very disappointing—more like cream with sweet milk chocolate than a real tiramisu, which was a letdown for us as fans of the dessert.

Wi-Fi was available, though not every seat had access to power outlets.

Overall, a stylish spot with some creative touches, but both the drinks and food left us...

Unfortunately, getting a breakfast here was a disappointing experience.

We were welcomed by a lovely waitress, who explained the menu nicely and created a good atmosphere. We tried a chocolate pastry which was nice and you could taste the quality, but I cannot say the same about Turkish eggs from their seasonal menu. Due to slow cooking method, egg whites felt and tasted raw. This made the whole dish very unpleasant to eat and left me with paying for food I was not able to eat. Unfortunately, waiter who was getting the payment from us didn’t not care about our feedback.

Fuimos a desayunar con mi esposa en este bar confiteria ubicado en San Sebastian en el barrio de Amara muy cerca de la estacion de tren en una mesa interna y hay tambien mesas al abierto con vista sobre la calle. Ordenamos: 1 Sun o sea té verde bancha japonés con fresa, uva y limón. Aroma floral de ylang-ylang y geranio.

Fue un desayuno muy muy rico abundante sabroso y en este bar hay vasta eleccion de brunch y toasts french toast y cafes croissants pasteleria y tortas. Se puede tambien almorzar. Personal acogedor sonriente competente cordial disponible y el servicio realmente atento veloz y precios buenoss!!

My wife and I went to this bar and cafe located in San Sebastian, in the Amara neighborhood, very close to the train station. We had an inside table, and there are also tables outside with a view of the street. We ordered: 1 Sun, or Japanese bancha green tea with strawberry, grape, and lemon.
