Locopolo — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Recommended by a Spanish friend back in the UK, we had to try this place – and it didn’t disappoint! This isn’t your typical gelato or waffle cone experience; it’s a unique twist on ice cream that’s taken to another level. The ice cream is incredibly flavourful and has a melting centre, and the option to dip it in a variety of chocolates and toppings is a game-changer. We tried several flavours – peanut, cherry, passion fruit, mango, and choco Bueno – and each was excellent.

If you’re near the old town, this is the perfect stop after a round of Pintxos. Experiment with different flavours and dip combinations each time you visit – it has the potential to be seriously addictive. 100%...

We were in San Sebastian for 5 nights, we ate 7 popsicles from Loco Polo. Needless to say, they were just that good. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. On the last night I could not decide which to get and the guy who makes the popsicles helped me pick a really interesting new flavor and also try a classic raspberry. Both amazing.

There is a gelato shop across the way which always seem to have a crowd, but they are all making terrible life choices. Don't make the same mistake, get a popsicles from Loco...

This is a magnum ice cream on steroids. I’m not really an ice cream kinda gal but was craving something sweet at the end of a delicious trip to Borda Berri. I chose the peanut ice lolly that has an oozy peanut centre (wow) and I had it dipped in milk choc and then coated in peanuts. Quite the eating experience and one that I will never forget.
