Sushi Zero… definitely some sort of metaphor. It felt like being obsessed with someone but hating the sex. Or like when a friend you have known your whole life suddenly shows up with plastic surgery and something doesn’t feel quite right. An experience that will leave you questioning what sushi actually is. It would be more tolerable if you were having your birthday there and brought with you 6 friends to distract you of the strange experience you were having. For 26 euros you have a selection of WAY too many things that are neither good nor bad but something in between. And that something is “confusing”. If you are wondering if you should eat here, then all I can say is that, technically, you could. You totally could. However, if seeing banana and mango sushi on the menu offends you I would say steer clear. Imagine having an abusive boyfriend that every month treated you to a nice gift to keep you on the line. Well this experience is similar. If you have the chance to go downstairs when it’s closed down there, please do it’s very fascinating. I would just like to end this by saying that I might go again. Maybe like all of us flawed individuals, the restaurant might have just been having a bad day. Maybe it woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe it couldn’t find its keys or its wallet and was late to work. Maybe it was just in a bad mood. So maybe, like all of us, it deserves a second chance. Thank you for feeding...
Read moreOn my second visited as I wanted to show my husband how good the buffet. Disappointed of all ,a cold small appetizers come once in a while, most of sushi that we order didn't arrive,so we wait and ask the waiter time to time, soy sauce came when we about to leave, air conditioning was broken, server spilled the foods a few times as they were a lot of pressure. We patiently spent 2 hours waiting for nothing, so we left. He said don't again take me here 😔 I don't blame the Waiter as they work really hard I could see from their face ,but sorry to say this to management team. If you aren't unable to manage the crowd for some reason just open only the top floor for a good sake service . Open both level when your kitchen and waiters is ready and enough.otherwise , it would make disaster service and ruin your reputation...
Read moreBeing big fans of all you can eat sushi and visiting san sebastian we went to the only one we could find. The worst we ate out of the 4 countries we lived in (France, Italy, Netherlands and Spain)! Firstly the appearance: all the sushis were not fresh, stale, and a blackened colour (i.e. the raw tuna was grey). The taste: either had no taste, or a sour taste. The rice: none of our sushi stood up when we picked it up... And all this at almost 30 euros per person! The most expensive we've ever eaten and the worst in quality. Being the only all you can eat restaurant in San Sebastian doesn't justify the prices or the quality. And finally, of course, dirty toilets with no paper and no soap (for the sinks in...
