A dishonourable business. We were offered 15% off a next meal, following lunch here yesterday. The flyer told us to call and book a table - and had no mentioned of having to bring the A6 piece of paper back. When calling to book, I tried to confirm with the hostess whether or not we’d still get the promotion, as we were just passing by and didn’t have the flyer on us. She said “that’s okay, I will ask the manager”. When we arrived I tried to confirm again, and was told the same line by the waitress. We ordered two items from the breakfast menu (which were nice) and two coffees at €4 and €4.50. Both coffees were honestly the most sour, burnt coffees we’ve had in years. To the point where we couldn’t take more than 3 sips. We sent these back without kicking up a fuss and informed them the drink was too sour to be palatable. When we asked for the bill we again asked about the promotion - it’d be nice to get an answer whether yes or no. We were told the same reply and eventually the bill delivered to us with no discount and both the coffees charged. We double checked with the waitress whether she did in fact ask her manager (because STILL no one came to us with an answer), she made us feel uncomfortable and belittled for asking, then proceeded to leave us waiting for another 20 mins without an answer. The restaurant was not particularly busy at time. And we had been here an hour and a half at this point. We were incredibly frustrated - just tell us no so we can pay the bill and get on with our day. 15% was not a large amount, we didn’t need them beating around the bush like that and we were not going to get into a fight with them over it. Their excuse at the end that they needed the code on the voucher was a blatant lie, as you can see below there is no code. An absolute waste of time. Their decision was reasonable from a business perspective, but their handling of customers was not. We frequented this cafe everyday since arriving in Ibiza, but never again.
