We booked this hotel as a group of 8 girls to celebrate our birthdays. It is quite expensive so we had all saved up to stay there as a treat. The hotel is advertised as premium which can be seen on their instagram so we were expecting an amazing holiday in a beautiful setting with good service. Unfortunately this is not what we got. Before we even arrived we had several problems with incompetent staff. They did not seem to know what was going on and there were no systems in place. They confused our booking confirmation, said we couldn’t have the airport transfer as it didn’t seat 8 when it quite clearly did and then changed the price of an event we tried to book several times. On arrival we were told we had only booked for 7 and would have to pay £500 extra. Luckily we had our confirmation for 8 people and they accepted it was their error. We then had to wait for 2 hours before being able to go to our rooms whilst they put up a camp bed in the room for us. (Not sure why this took 2 hours?) The pool area is very small with limited sun beds which you need to book in advance. There were even less in use due to COVID and the fact they allow non hotel guests to come in and use them. There is also a €100 minimum spend on some of the beds even if you are a hotel guest. These beds are the size of a double bed and on our first day we were told 4 of us would be on one of these beds each. Completely unacceptable and quite shocking. We asked to be able to use another bed that was not being used in front of ours to be told no due to social distancing. However within an hour there were a group of lads on it who were clearly ‘in’ with the hotel staff. Throughout our whole stay we were treated as second class citizens due to not having enough instagram followers or money in the bank. The hotel clearly only cares about their image and ‘influencers’ posting things on instagram. Service at the hotel is unbelievably slow and sometimes non existent. We attended the tucked up event and had booked a booth. Some of the group ordered food (one of who is pregnant and the hotel were aware of this). 3 hours after ordering, now midnight, the food had not arrived and we were told it would not be coming. A bottle of Prosecco was ordered and after checking 4 times and 1 hour 30 mins passing we gave up and cancelled it. There was a large group at the event which ended up in them fighting and witnessing someone’s head being stamped on. Several men with their T-shirt’s ripped. Only 1 person was removed for this. The other who were rich/z list famous were taken out of sight for 10 mins then allowed to continue. We complained at the end of this evening due to our treatment on the holiday so far and this evening in particular. The floor manager Lucy was extremely patronising and rude to us all and clearly did not care about how we felt due to our status. They did end clearing our bill for the evening which was only about €200 as half of the things we ordered had never arrived anyway. One of the major issues was the big groups of intimidating drugged up males partying all night in the hotel corridors keeping everyone awake. It happened literally every night right through until around 7am. Security would occasionally come up but they were little help. When you tried to phone reception no one would answer and it felt too unsafe to leave your room to find someone as these were the males being treated like royalty by hotel staff and blatantly taking drugs by the pool daily. The hotel is arguably marketed at women however we felt unsafe and intimidated the majority of the time we were there due to the clientele that were being allowed to congregate in large groups and basically do what ever they want to the detriment of paying guests with no interruption by staff. There was little organisation, mistakes were made regularly, such as us being told we had open bills on suites we had never even heard of and having to argue our case that they were...
Read moreI think if you're going to do reviews, you've got to be as fair and honest as possible, so with that in mind we decided to go back to Wikiwoo as our last stay wasn't great, but we really love the hotel, the location and the feel of the place, and i'm so glad that we did. Things are noticeably better, with a new manager and more friendly staff, who all go out of their way to make your stay memorable. I can honestly say everything was spot on the whole time we spent here, bar, restaurant, pool, there was always someone about to take drink orders and i know other reviews say different, but it's not like that anymore. Drink prices are good, a bucket of 6 corona beers is €30, and a cocktail €12, the food was great, as good as any restaurant in San Antonio and you get the perfect location and the famous sunset for free. Definitely give it a go, you won't regret it, stay if you can, but go, if just for an evening the dj's get the right ibiza feeling and it's a special place. I've left my previous review below so you can see how different it is now.
So, we saw this hotel across the bay while watching the sunset, we decided to book a night's stay here and go all out, drinking by the pool, bit of food, get changed and back to the bar for the evening. It started well, and shout out to Libby by the pool told us how everything worked got us some drinks and was really helpful, sadly she was the one and only member of staff that approached us in the 10 hours we were there drinking, after 3 hour of frantically waving our arms like we were drowning, then waiting another 15 minutes for a warm bottle of beer, we gave up, went to the shop for drinks and back to the room. And it was not like it was busy, 10 people including us 2. Well, I've been round long enough to know you don't always get people at their best and with a bit of liquid fun inside us, decided to crack on with the night time, music was good so we sat in a booth by the dj (not knowing you had to pay for them) and second staff interaction, "these booths are reserved for people spending €300, ARE YOU SPENDING €300?", Well no, not considering the service, it'd be pretty impossible for 2 people to do that. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and if you're a younger, more attractive person than me and worthy of the staffs attention, then give it a go, we spent quite a lot of money with the room and drinks and would have spent a lot more given the opportunity, didn't expect to spend so much time hanging round the till like a barfly, or waving my limbs about like I'm...
Read moreWe spent three nights there that were the most horrible nights my partner and I had in a while.
We had expected a boutique hotel in a quiet part of Sant Antoni. Instead, we found ourselves in a setting that combined the esthetics of plastic surgery regulars with trashy heaving drinking high school party vibes. It looks new and fancy in the pictures on Insta, it is slightly more rundown when you go there. The bed sheets have some stains, the carpet has so many stains that you barely can recognize the color pattern anymore. My reading lamp almost fell down from the wall.
Still, this wouldn‘t have been too bad but…
Of the three nights, we barely slept during two of them. The beds were comfy - the nights wide awake were thanks to our room neighbors (ever-drunk British men in the 20s) who screamed on the balcony, listened to EDM, slammed doors at 4am and had noisy sex. Expect an audio porn for free. We called the night guard when the music was still on at 6am who threatened them to call the police.
Two days later around midnight, a drunk guy knocked out door repeatedly and screamed his friend‘s name. We told him that it’s the wrong room. He didn’t even bother to stop. We had to open the door and scream at him to make him go away… super pleasant :(
Service at the pool is bad. The food is bad - when we were there, they hosted an external event and the food selection was limited. Even the one dish that was offered was cold.
We felt ignored by the waiters, our orders first forgotten for 45min, then the food was bad. Our sparkling wine was stale. They continued to apologize but nothing (!) worked flawlessly at this place.
When we complained upon check out after we had pointed out issues twice before, the manager (blonde British lady) told us that Ibiza is a party island. While she gave us a discount, she also let us know that the problem was rather us not getting the island vibe than our room neighbors acting inconsiderately.
We had a different experience the week before where we stayed in a place that was quiet and neat. Ibiza can be a party island but it can be something else as well. Only at Wiki-Woo, you wanting to catch some sleep will be seen as the party pooper.
So… go there if you want to party hard and are a British (wannabe) Instagram influencer. Don‘t go there if this is not your vibe. Staying at Wiki-Woo made us actually look forward to leaving Ibiza. I was never happier to get home...
