Relish Restaurant Ibiza — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

After seeing many great reviews of this restaurant online and recommendations from friends, whilst in Ibiza myself and my friend decided to visit for dinner. We had been looking forward to the visit since arriving in Ibiza but we were let down. First of all the service on arrival was very poor, we felt very unwelcome as soon as we arrived, the restaurant was quiet but we were offered a table in the pool area or by the main door which obviously we did not want. We were then offered a table in the main restaurant but were told we only had an hour to eat then we would need to leave (understandable if the table was booked but the table was not reserved and the restaurant did not fill up even when we were leaving). We ordered our food and one of the starters did not arrive, we were not asked how our food was throughout the meal despite every other table being asked the question. The food itself was disappointing and tasted like it was fried several times over. Overall a very poor experience and one which ruined the rest of the evening due to feeling so unwelcome. My All-time Favourite Restaurant in Ibiza, from over 30 years of visiting the Isle. I love taking friends to Relish for the warm welcome, attentive and friendly service, the delish food of course, and the subtle rustic decor & lighting. Where we sat we were lucky to have the night time Bay view of the San Antonio lights, with the Balearic tunes. . mas tranquilo. Best Daiquiri on the island, authentic Sangria, fabulous Espresso Martini's, creamy alioli with fresh bread, perfect padron peppers.. All this before our mains, which we all relished and struggled to finish as the portions are large. You will want to stay here all evening, from the sunny poolside drinks to the chupito good night's. Great location , really nice looking restaurant inside , staff was great with the kids and with the adults , great food choice and the menu is top class , I definitely would recommend want to go back as we only went once as we wanted to try a lot of different places , but the food was great and it has a kids menu which is good , I jd the pork belly from the main menu and I really enjoyed it , looked great , my wife fancied pasta and it was a veg dish aubergine meatballs and they was very tasty and I love meat , I would definitely recommend this for anyone but as a family with two young children we had great food and great service , what more do you want when you on holidays ?
