La Lonja — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de la Palma

The only reason I have given this a star is the staff...they are lovely. There is no atmosphere which is a pity as the surroundings are lovely. The food was diabolical, I can cook better myself.....vegetables out of a tin, no thought in the salad, chicken bland, no scrambled egg in the starter of scrambled egg, mushrooms and prawns...oh yes..found 1 prawn. Wife had set menu with no bread or dessert which is supposed to be included. To be fair she didnt ask for dessert as thought that would be awful as well. All in all a place...

We were four people haveing dinner at the restaurant. 3 ordered "fish of the Day", which they had two kinds of. We waited an hour for our food and when we finaly got it, the two dished were so overcooked and the fish totaly dry. On the third plante, another type of fish, it was raw inside. When we notished the waiter, he just took the raw piece and never returned. Several dished on the menucard were not availibel and they brought another vine, than the one we ordred. Cozy loking restaurant, but not rekomendabel...

Tourist trap - anything else will be better! The fresh fish is at least one week old and if they say otherwise they lie straight to your face - speaking from experience. Don't order grill cheese, since they just heat it up in the microwave and the mojo sauce splits - disgusting. And don't order fried squid, it's old and soggy. Try things like sparkling water and coca cola, they are good, since they are not prepared in the restaurant. Prices are too high for what it is. If you find yourself there, then I wish...
