This small family-run hotel is situated in a quiet street of the historic central part of Santa Cruz de la Palma, wonderfully preserved with its old colonial buildings and churches. From the hotel you can walk to the main square and church in 2 minutes, to the ocean and to the main bus station in 5 minutes. Several good restaurants are situated nearby, so the hotel is situated in the best possible location if you want to stay in the capital of the island during your visit to La Palma.||||The hotel is small, very quiet, decorated in a very simple and modern style in bright tones. Breakfast is available in the morning with a good choice of fresh local products and with an attention to avoid waste of food, which is instead often the case in big chain hotels. I appreciated this aspect too.||||Bedrooms are furnished essentially but with all one can need for a few days, considering that tourists who come here do not spend their time in hotels but are out to explore the island most of the time. Bathrooms are spacious and comfrotable. The cleanliness and room service impeccable. You can hear some sounds from adjoining rooms due to this walls, maybe, but all guests were respectful and quiet late in the evenings and at night.||||A strong point in favour of the hotel are the kindness, friendliness, warm welcome and smiles of the owners and the whole staff, ready to give you the best advice to visit the city and island. After a few days, you do feel at home.||||If you don't care about staying in a large hotel with more facilities but impersonal and as youcould find everywhere, I couldn't think of a better place to suggest for a stay in Santa Cruz de la Palma: straightforward, friendly and authentic, just like all of this beautiful and incredibly...
Read moreVery nice place to stay a few days on vacation. Rooms are clean and comfortable, locked with password or app. Room that we had didn't have any kitchen supplies, but there is a shared fridge to leave some things and when we asked they brought us an electric kettle. We visited during the heat wave, so it was pretty hot, but manageable with ceiling fan.
Breakfast is included and we had three options to choose from: English breakfast, healthy option (avocado toasts, yougurt) and more sweet options (croissants and pretzels). All are incredible and very filling, staff is very nice and offer you coffe o tea to your liking
One thing to consider is that walls are very thin and windows are pretty close, so you can hear a lot of noise, if your neighbors this day are noisy, but we were mostly lucky with this.
Overall very...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights in El Hotelito. The staff is friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much to ask! ||||While the place is well located in the centre of Santa Cruz, it is not the best option for a longer stay that 1-2 nights.||We had a Superior room. The room size was ok, the bathroom too. There is little furniture apart from the bed and two benches, no chairs, no real wardrobe. It’s a bit sterile, I’d recommend a couple of paintings or colourful decorations to make it more cosy.||However the major downside was the noise from oother rooms, above ours and adjacent, the next door bathroom, and the noise from the hallway. ||I could put up with the noise for a couple of nights on transit, but it’s tiring after a while.||Might be a little better if you are in a deluxe room, they seemed to not be connected to...
