Atlantis Restaurante Gastro Arrocería — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Absolutely loved this place! We become regulars in our 12 nights stay in Santa Cruz.The place has lovely modern decor but also kept its old world charm,the food is good and it is located just of the one of the main pedestrian arteries ,so if you are staying in the city centre you can't miss it. Servers pour drinks from the bottle in front of you ,so if you used to western way of ordering single or double,here it works different way as they literally count till 9(old Spanish way) so you getting quadruple gin and tonic for example,for the price of one.This could be dangerous at times 😂 But what really makes this place special it's people who work there.They are attentive, friendly and ready to cater to all your needs,it's no surprise why this place is frequented by locals who are well established in the community. Whoever owns this business is very lucky to have such a good team! This place is a must see...

This place looks very nice and quite upmarket, however, that is it's only quality.

All 5 of our meals were only just warm enough to be edible. In any other situation I would have sent them back to the kitchen, but the service was so incredibly slow that it didn't seem worth the effort. Although, despite the temperature, the meal was quite tasty.

They seemed to be both understaffed and inefficient. At one point we were waiting so long that we moved all our empty glasses to the end of the table hoping it might help them notice we were waiting. I don't think it really helped, and the waiting staff continued to avoid making eye contact. Our empty plates also remained on the table for an unacceptably long time. Literally calling out to any passing staff was the only way to get any kind of service.

My 3 stars are Purely because of the service! While it started ok, it got annoying at the end. (Sharing this while I’m still at the restaurant)

I had a salad with shrimp, which arrived quick. It was delicious and big size full of various veggies and fruit.

After the salad, I feel like the staff forgot about me. I had to wait very long for my steak, and then had to track down someone to just take my plates away and help me order a desert.

I asked for a milkshake with natural juice, and it’s been 20min and it’s still not here… I have been for here for a while now simply because the staff does not come to check on me.

I also see numerous tables outside sitting with plates empty and ready to leave but nobody is coming to their table.

So I would say, the place is ok if you have patience to sit...
