Museo de Bellas Artes — Attraction in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

If you’re a lover of art and you’re in Santa Cruz then I’d thoroughly recommend you visiting this gallery. No household names on display here but was nice to discover the work of some impressive local artists. Three floors in total, with work spanning several centuries, I found the impressionist pieces particularly impressive. You probably need about an hour to see everything. Very nice, FREE museum. Most of the artworks are in very classical style, typical portraits or landscapes, but there are some others as well (an impressionist river might have been my favourite, or a surreal piece on the second floor). I also absolutely loved the temporary exhibition on the ground floor. If you're into art and are in the area, definitely go.

Something for everyone here so don't be put off by the 'fine art' title if you are not in to fine arts. That is certainly the majority but the is a good mix. Like I say, something for everyone.
