We had diner in this restaurant tonight and have just experienced the worst service I have encountered in many years !! There were many waiters about the restaurant but none of them seemed particularly concerned with taking care of us, although the restaurant was actually quiet. We finally managed to order food and drinks, which included one large and one small beer. When those came, the small beer was served in the same large glass as the large one, but filled with the smallest amount of beer you could conceive of (I would say about 1:4 of the volume of the large one). We then started sipping our drinks and waiting for our food. After about 30 minutes, I managed to catch the attention of a waiter, who offered to bring us some bread, but this never came. The food finally arrived after 45 minutes (maybe more …) and was decent. This consisted of a tuna tartare and a rice dish with meat (for 2 people). Another waiter asked us if we wanted some bread, and we said yes,. This bread did come, but turned out to cost 1,80€ per little bun of bread !! No need to say but we left no tip, and will not go back...

We’ve been here for a quick afternoon snack and a coffee. The location is nice, next to the fountain lake and a great spot for a chilled sunset. Unfortunately, the service is very slow and not motivated. Took a while until our order was taken. Nobody came and cleaned the table and we had to go inside to ask for the bill. It wasn’t very busy and at least three waiters and a bartender.

Big minus are the toilets. My partner couldn’t use it without me waiting in front of the door, because there is absolutely no possibility to lock it from the inside. Men’s bathroom neither, just a broken lock.

This spot has so much potential, but it seems they need to change...

Excellent service and good food. One of the best and stable quality food restaurants in Santa Cruz. I have been here 5 time so far and only once were the Pork Belly fritters overdone; upon which the waiter immediately reordered a freshly made portion and gave us a free snack while we waited. This type of service makes one want to recommend and come back to a restaurant.

PS also the waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and pairing with the meals, while also being helpful as per specific ingredients used...

The restaurant’s standout feature is its distinctive location with views of the fountain and nearby architectural gems. However, I wouldn’t label it as a high-class establishment due to certain shortcomings— notably, the slow service, witnessed patrons expressing frustration over lengthy waits for drinks. The unique setting, while appealing, contributes to high traffic with frequent comings and goings. Despite these concerns, we did find enjoyment in savoring coffee and desserts amidst the exceptional view.

SABÍA A AMONIACO. INCOMESTIBLE.
