⭐️ Review: Disappointing Experience After 7 Years of Loyalty

I've been a loyal customer of this local Thai restaurant for over 7 years. While the food has never been anything to shout about, it’s always been convenient to pop in for a Pad Thai now and then, especially since it’s just down the road from home.

Unfortunately, tonight’s visit has left a bad taste.

I ordered a chicken Pad Thai and a glass of cava. The waitress/cook offered a small bottle of cava, which I never received — instead, I was given a glass. I didn’t raise the issue at the time as I just wanted to enjoy my meal.

When the bill came, it totaled 21€, which I paid without hesitation, even leaving a 2€ tip. But walking home, I realized the Pad Thai costs around 12–13€, which would mean I had just paid 8.50€ for a single glass of cava — something I never knowingly ordered.

I returned to clarify, only to be told by the male waiter (who’s been there for years) that I had chosen an expensive bottle, which I absolutely hadn’t. I simply asked for a small glass — nothing more. His response was that I should have asked for the price beforehand, which frankly, is a poor excuse for not informing customers of premium pricing upfront.

He then compared their prices to the place next door, saying they charge 16€ for a glass, as though that justified the confusion. Finally, he shrugged and told me he didn’t care, because “it’s my last season in Ibiza.”

As a long-time resident and neighbour, I found the whole exchange incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. After years of supporting this business, this is how regular customers are treated?

I won’t be returning. What a shame.

He sido clienta habitual de este restaurante tailandés local durante más de 7 años. Aunque la comida nunca ha sido nada espectacular, siempre ha sido cómodo pasar a tomar un Pad Thai de vez en cuando, sobre todo porque está muy cerca de casa.

Lamentablemente, la visita de esta noche me ha dejado un mal sabor de boca.

Pedí un Pad Thai con pollo y una copa de cava. La camarera/cocinera me ofreció una botella pequeña de cava, que nunca llegó — en su lugar, me sirvieron una copa. No dije nada en el momento porque simplemente quería disfrutar de la comida.

Cuando llegó la cuenta, fueron 21 €, que pagué sin problemas y además dejé 2 € de propina. Pero al volver a casa me di cuenta de que el Pad Thai cuesta alrededor de 12–13 €, lo que significa que me cobraron 8,50 € por una sola copa de cava, algo que nunca pedí conscientemente.

Volví al restaurante para aclararlo y el camarero (que lleva allí muchos años) me dijo que yo había elegido una botella cara, lo cual no es cierto. Yo simplemente pedí una copa pequeña, nada más. Su respuesta fue que debería haber preguntado el precio antes, lo cual me parece una excusa muy pobre para no informar al cliente de un precio elevado con antelación.

Luego intentó justificarlo comparando los precios con el local de al lado, diciendo que allí cobran 16 € por una copa. Y para rematar, me dijo con indiferencia que “no le importaba porque era su última temporada en Ibiza”.

Como vecina y residente desde hace años, me pareció un trato totalmente irrespetuoso y decepcionante. ¿Así es como se trata a los clientes fieles?

Very expensive and mediocre Thai food. Main courses are €12-€16 plus €3 for rice for very average food in a plastic cafe setting. When we were there for lunch with our family they had a violent 18 rated film playing on the large screen that dominates the dinning area. Nothing about the experience makes me want to return! What would we do without this authentic family Thai restaurant? We have enjoyed their friendly service and superb food for 5 years. If you want good Thai food with dogs, with kids, in your bathing suit, in an easy and chilled setting right on the beach, then look no further. I cannot recommend this modest but amazing establishment...
