If I could give Zero stars I would:
We had a reservation for ten sunbeds and were the only guests until after lunch. Still, the service was a complete disaster. From the very beginning drinks were watered down, ice had melted, and the waitress was visibly annoyed and overwhelmed. Throughout the whole day no more than 13 out of roughly 70 sunbeds were occupied.
Lunch inside was a mess: orders were taken incorrectly, the attitude of the staff was unprofessional and stressed. Despite only three tables being occupied in total. The worst part: a “lobster pasta” for €165 that contained more octopus and imitation crab with no label than lobster, was served cold, and against our request was plated instead of being left in the pot to stay warm. (Also ZERO flavour) The other dishes were equally overpriced and disappointing. Wrong orders were met with annoyance. On the first bill for lunch, a 10% service fee was added automatically, and when we didn’t add more tip on top of a €1,000 bill, staff were clearly displeased and gave us weird looks and were clearly talking about it. 150€ tip for 1000€ bill is more than sufficient for this service in my opinion.
The highlight came in the afternoon: only at 5:43 pm we were told that by 5:50 pm we had to leave the beach- seven minutes notice. In the same breath we had been served another round of drinks that could not be canceled anymore. The fruit platter included in the sunbed package was forgotten; when we mentioned it, they offered to bring it “quickly now,” even though we had to vacate the place. When we pointed out that Google lists opening hours until 11:30 pm, the waitress first claimed it was “Spanish law.” To clear all beaches on the island by 6pm. I have been on this island for 25 years. That is a lie. When we contradicted her, she changed her story and said she “still had to clean everything up.”
At the end of the day, the second bill for the sunbeds suddenly included a 20% service fee, again explained as “Spanish law.” No willingness at all to meet us halfway and maybe take off fruit platters or a round of drinks. Other guests behind us confirmed they had exactly the same bad experience. On top of that, one of our friends was told off for going to the restroom without a shirt– in a beach club. There were no guests inside. And when we gave calm, constructive feedback, they sent over another waiter acting like “security,” who aggressively tried to intimidate us.
Conclusion: Overpriced, dishonest, extremely poor service. This place is a complete disappointment and I absolutely not...
Read moreWe booked at UM Beach Ibiza because the photos and the offer looked very promising. Unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment from start to finish.
Already upon arrival, the location did not look as nice and well-kept as in the pictures. The outside area was not really clean, but we still wanted to give it a chance. After the welcome drinks and a fruit platter, we later went to the restaurant. While the interior looked nicer, from that moment on everything went downhill.
Service was extremely slow: we waited 15 minutes just to get the menu, another 15 minutes for the drinks, and about 30 minutes for the food – which arrived cold. It then took another 30 minutes for our dirty dishes to be cleared, while a waiter preferred to spend his time taking photos with a group of girls which were also costumers.
A major issue was the food order: two of us ordered “Linguini Frutti di Mare,” but specifically without seafood – only with garlic and olive oil. The waiter confirmed this. On the bill, however, we were charged twice the full price for the seafood pasta (€34 each), even though we never ordered the expensive version. When we raised this, again nothing happened for a long time.
Eventually, we went to the reception, where we were told the manager would come in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes she finally appeared. Instead of showing any understanding or suggesting a solution, she was unfriendly, showed no willingness to compromise, and even threatened to call the police. She insisted it was “normal” to charge the full price when a dish is simplified – which is absurd, since we never ordered the costly ingredients in the first place.
In the end, WE had to propose the solution ourselves: to pay for the food but without the service charge. Only then did the “manager” agree. As “compensation” we were offered just a bottle of water and flavored water spray– which was almost laughable.
After an entire afternoon of endless waiting, cold food, wrong billing, and poor service, the experience was nothing but frustrating. What made it worse was the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude of the manager, who clearly was not capable of handling her role.
Conclusion: UM Beach Ibiza was a complete letdown – poor organization, slow service, low-quality food, and zero customer care. We strongly advise against...
Read moreWe came to the beach clubs on a recommendation from a friend who works as a concierge here in Ibiza. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. The beach menu only included two salads, one Dessert, and an appetizer. The waitress informed us that if we wanted to order from the other menu, we would have to go to the restaurant. When I pay €100 for a reservation fee for two loungers, I expect to relax and eat there without having to move to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here is completely unjustifiable. The main course, listed with pita bread on the menu, came with pane carasau, and not pita. The Caesar salads were just a few leaves with a VERY DRY chicken breast. To top it off, there was no hand paper in the ladies' restroom. While the service staff was very nice, they were also very inattentive, forgot our order, and every order took an extremely long time (even just water). Additionally, there is a huge sign on the main road that says “private parking ME BEACH HOUSE,” but there was no such parking available, and we had to search for 15 minutes to find a spot
We will definitely not be coming back & also not recommend it to our...
