Dinner and drinks were lovely, would certainly recommend that. However, -4 stars for potential carbon monoxide poisoning / public health and safety issue. They were running two outdoor heaters, but indoors (see photo attached) that specifically say not to use indoors, with zero ventilation (no windows or doors open). The reason you’re not supposed to use indoors is because they can give you carbon monoxide poisoning. I asked them to turn off the heater (wanted to avoid a confrontation so said I was warm) and cracked the door next to me for air. They then came by and wanted me to close the door, and 10 min later turned back on the heater because other diners had arrived.
I mentioned to the waiter at the end the risk of running these indoors with carbon monoxide and he said that they “knew they weren’t safe to run indoors,” but they were waiting for indoor-safe ones to run indoors, and in the meantime they use these so people aren’t cold. I understand that this is a challenge for the business, but it doesn’t work to unwittingly put diners of your restaurant at risk because you haven’t figured out your...

It was around 16:30 when we came, the entire restaurant was reserved, but for later times, we got a table we can use until 20:00.
Waiters were very attentive. Truth be told there were only 4 tables seated, still the place is not that big so that is probably the norm.
Terrace is wonderful. Even in the late afternoon while the sun was still out it was wonderful to sit there. The decor and everything is beautiful.
Food was very good. I dare not say excellent, as there is always something better, still an easy 5. Pad thai curry is spicier than expected. The pumpkin mashed potatoes that come with the octopus are delicious, just as the octopus is.
As a side note, this locality is very popular with germans, so do not be surprised when you are greeted in german and that you hear german spoken at all...
Read moreWe wandered into EAST26 on a Saturday night without a reservation and were so lucky and happy to get seated in the charming courtyard area outside. While we did go on the earlier side, there were still enough people to make it a nice vibe. It was our last dinner in Spain after a 2 week trip and the service at EAST26 was by far the best we had experienced! Miguel was quick, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The boards with the specials and dessert were brought to the table for us to read. We chose the tiramisu for dessert which our server prepared table side for us! Everything we had from the wine, homemade bread, entrees, and dessert were fantastic. Do not miss this hidden gem if you are...
