We stayed here for 3 nights in a Privilege Room located in the main building. While there were many things we appreciated, a few issues impacted our stay.

On the first night, the noise from the room above us was extremely disruptive—heavy footsteps, voices, and what sounded like furniture being dragged around until 1–2 a.m. We were woken up again around 6 a.m. the next morning. We reported this to the front desk, and the manager was very attentive and empathetic. She apologized sincerely for the poor sleep and promptly offered us a room change. According to her, the guests above us had checked out around 6:30 a.m., so the noise was likely from them packing and moving luggage. While the manager didn’t mention anything specific about soundproofing, we suspect the older building structure and wooden floors make sound travel quite easily—something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.

The original Privilege Room we were first assigned felt noticeably smaller and darker than expected, and a bit different from the photos we had seen on the website. In contrast, the new Privilege Room we were moved to (on the upper floor) was significantly more spacious, with more windows, abundant sunlight, and a much larger balcony. Honestly, we were surprised that both rooms were considered the same category and price.

However, after moving to the new room, we ran into another issue—bugs. When we returned from dinner that night, we found many small bugs or flies all over the bed, especially around the pillows. There were also ants and similar bugs in the bathroom. It was pretty unsettling, even though they weren’t flying around aggressively and we were able to catch most of them with paper. We suspect they may have been drawn in by light, as the room had many windows (though all doors and windows were locked when we left). After that night, we kept the blinds closed in the evening and saw fewer bugs near the bed—but bugs continued to appear in the bathroom, especially around damp spots and the toilet area.

We didn’t formally complain about the bugs since we had already requested a room change and I wasn’t feeling well that night. On the day we were checking out, a front desk staff member stopped by to ask how the new room had been, and we casually mentioned the bug issue. He didn’t follow up much, and since we were leaving that day, I didn’t feel the need to escalate it further—I didn’t want to end the trip on a stressful note.

That said, the hotel still had many wonderful aspects. The amenities, breakfast, and dinner at Ocre were all excellent. The pool area is peaceful and beautiful, and the staff throughout were warm, genuine, and accommodating. If the sound insulation and pest control were improved, this would easily be a...

Anyone considering visiting Mallorca should stay at this awesome hotel. I have never seen such a lovely group of staff members who are always willing to help the customers. The decorations in the hotel are extremely unique (black metal) and you will notice it in every room along with matching furniture, utensils and even power switches. One should see their unique library with record player and the toilet near the reception. Rooms have excellent thick toilet paper, tissues, lighted magnifying glass, absorbing thick cotton bathrobe and slippers. Hotel also has a large beautiful outdoor unheated swimming pool with over 30 lounge chaises spread over the surrounding garden. There is a heated indoor swimming pool with 6 chaises along with sauna. There is a very basic gym with one elliptical, one treadmill and a bench with single set of adjustable weights. The included breakfast is superb with daily servings of freestyle eggs, cold meats, wonderful cereal, breads and hot drinks. Dining; Hotel has 3 restaurants; Pool side bar serves very good food with reasonable prices (

The staff were all amazing, no complaints. But I have to admit, the room was much smaller than expected for a “junior suite” and the exorbitant price we paid for one night — there was two small sofas squeezed into a very standard sized room with no separate sitting area, no balcony and definitely not 484 sq ft as advertised on your website where we paid directly. Photos on the website in our room category compared to the room we were given had a huge difference. After looking at photos of reviews of Junior Suites from other travelers, I am convinced we were given just a standard room by mistake.

The room doesn’t have some extremely basic amenities like an iron or ironing board. Hotel also misspelled our names on the card left in the room. Would have been easier to just skip.

Second, office has very poor coordination with vendors. We were booked for a boat ride and I called and asked reception to let them know we would be running 15 mins late since nobody told us we had to drive ourselves to the pick up point 20 minutes away, which was not communicated. We were given the wrong meeting point and sent to the wrong boat vendor. When I called the hotel nobody could give me the name of the boat or the person we were supposed to meet so we were walking around the dock in circles and lost more than an hour of our reservation.

Sorry to say this hotel is more appearances and design than service or function. Having staying at luxury properties in well over fifty countries, this place still seems to be finding its feet. Attention to detail seems to be there in the color palette and aesthetics, but missed the mark on a truly discerning...

We recently spent four nights at Can Ferrereta in Santanyí, staying in the Terrace Suite, and had a truly memorable experience. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered great privacy—perfect for enjoying a quiet coffee in the morning sun or lounging outdoors in the afternoon. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome touch of a complimentary bottle of cava in our room upon arrival. Although the weather wasn’t quite warm enough for a swim, the pool area was serene and beautifully maintained, ideal for relaxing or reading a book. We also took part in the yoga classes offered on the terrace, which were simple but enjoyable and a great way to start the day. Breakfast was included with our stay and offered a good variety of quality options, and we were especially impressed by the exceptional hospitality and service throughout the hotel. From the front desk to housekeeping and restaurant staff, every interaction was warm and professional—the service truly elevated our experience. We also enjoyed a spa day at the hotel, and the treatments were excellent—definitely worth booking if you’re looking to unwind. If you’re planning to drive, I recommend reserving a parking spot at the hotel in advance, as street parking in Santanyí can be limited, especially during the market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when the town gets busier and some streets may be closed. Overall, Can Ferrereta is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Santanyí and looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and well-serviced hotel in the heart of town. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to others.
