Old West — Restaurant in Santanyí

Really disappointed with the service we received this evening. Staff and manager were rude manager wasn’t at all bothered that our food wasn’t cooked properly and had been sent back didn’t check to see if food was ok and ended up with not eating my meal . We ordered a ribeye steak which was undercooked and fillet steak which I asked to be cooked medium it came rare the ribeye came almost blue the waitress agreed and took it back when I had the steak back it was more than well done no body came to ask if it was ok and when I said it was over cooked and couldn’t eat they just took it away no apologies no offer to redo again . Manager at the end when paying the bill I did say we obviously weren’t happy with the food resulting in me not eating he just ignored me it wasn’t till I said I would not be paying for a meal that I couldn’t eat and also got taken after it had gone back as was undercooked he then said fine I’ll take it off bill but still continued to charge me for steak sauce and mushrooms which weren’t eaten as steak had been taken he again was very rude and abrupt and not once did he apologise . We came with high expectations of a steak house after reading great reviews wouldn’t return again or recommended not only for the food not being cooked right but just the rudeness of the manager spoilt what we hoped to be a...

West at its best. I can't quite decide which my favorite part about this place is, the food, hospitality or view of the marina. As we went there for the food I shall choose that. Do you know when everyone wants something different to eat or there's that one fussy person in your party? well this place has something for everyone. My travel partner enjoyed one of her favorite spaghettis she's eaten apparently in her life and I tucked into the tapas offer of 3 x dishes for 12.95E, calamari, dates wrapped in bacon and battered mushrooms. As it's a steakhouse the steaks and ribs are their speciality but pastas, fish and meat dishes etc etc won't leave anyone in the group hungry. OMG everything was cooked to perfection and I could have quite easily sat here all day and eaten my way through the whole tapas menu. There is a reason why people put on so much weight whilst on holiday. Which gave me the excuse to have an almond tart cake and my travel buddy a brownie for dessert. Talk about melt in the mouth, proper tasty. Paul the meet and greet host could not have been more hospitable, even if he tried. If you fancy a chat or holidaying by yourself, nip down here even just to meet him. John the owner couldn't do enough for us either, so of course we ate at all three of their restaurants. Job...

This review is based on a party of 7 adults and 6 kids...

The service was pretty poor from the start, it felt like the second we sat down they wanted our drinks order. When I asked for a few minutes to review the menu, the waiter didn't seem impressed.

The waiter asked our party if anyone wanted breads. I'm still not convinced anyone said "yes", but soon after 3 plates of breads arrived (we wouldn't have ordered 3 portions if if we had wanted them) - the first hidden charge, €24.

When the second waiter came to take our food order he was pleasant but after ordering my steak he asked, "would you like onions rings"? As he hadn't asked anyone else to this point I assumed they were included as part of that meal. No, myself and several others all said "yes". Second hidden surprise for our party, 5 portions of onion rings, €40.

The steak was very good, I'll say that and the portions are generous.

Would I go back, probably not. If I did, I'd be much more clued into their up...
