Sky Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Santanyí

This review had the potential to be much higher as having spent 2 nights previously at the bar during our stay at hotel Varardero we had found it a relaxing location to enjoy a drink over looking the port. Disappointingly we had rather a nasty surprise on our 3rd visit...having ordered our drinks and taken a seat we were approached by a friend of the barman and advised that we had in error by him been under charged for our drinks from the previous night. We explained that we didn't believe we had as only 2 of the 3 drinks had contained alcohol and the other was alcohol free due to one of the party being pregnant. The response back was that all cocktails...alcohol or not are €8. This was quite a shock as the non alcoholic drink was cartoned orange juice and grenandin and tasted more like a cheap child's drink than an alcohol free fresh cocktail. They insisted that our bill for the 3rd night would have to cover the cost of the under paid drink from the previous night on top of our bill for this evening. We advised that we would meet part way in payment but we're advised this wouldn't be accepted. The bar man communicated only through his friend and although she was nice she advised we would have to pay. As all of this was down to us being given the wrong bill through fault of the bar man as well as feeling we got very over charged for a fruit juice we left the bar having felt unfairly treated and...

Would give this 0 stars if I could. From the moment you walk in staff are immediately hostile and act as they are of more importance. Me and my boyfriend sat down and ordered our drinks and was relaxing when a waiter came over and told us to be quiet when we was sat next to each other speaking at a normal conversational volume. Then as we started to feel uncomfortable from the constant cold stares from the staff we decided to leave, where a waiter shouted OI at my boyfriend top of his lungs and started claiming they was going to call the police on us when we haven’t even made a peep. My boyfriend sat down and waited for police as he knew he hadn’t done anything wrong when we soon found out they was almost trying to get a laugh out of our fear as the police weren’t called at all. Rude promoter! We approached this section of bars and restaurants and as it was our first time in Cala D’or, we were unsure of what bar we were heading to. One of the female promoters was trying to get us to go into Sky Cocktail Bar and as we continued to walk past to head to a different place, she told us go away but using a word that begins with f (I can’t use here as my review keeps getting rejected) all because we didn’t respond to her. Since when is it ok to verbally abuse potential customers? I turned around in shock and she looked surprised that we heard her. We would have likely come back to this bar at another point in our holiday but absolutely not if staff think it acceptable to speak to people like this!...
