It’s nicely located by the water. We asked for an English menu and got a German meny with som English sprinkled in. To start I ordered a sangria, my partner ordered a cocktail and we ordered some bread and aioli. The cocktail arrived as expected, but they forgot my sangria twice over. It took about 30 minutes to get it in the end. We got to order our food after about 50 minutes, not because we wanted to wait to order. I ordered the tenderloin and my partner the calamari. I asked if I need to order a side since it wasn’t clear what was included in the dish. I was told fries was included so I didn’t order anything extra. I wasn’t asked how I wanted the meat prepared. The meat was medium done when I got it. I had to remind them twice about the fries since they forgot it. The calamari was tasty, but the mashed potatoes had the consistency of wallpaper glue. Except for the obvious things on the bill we were charged for bread x2 and fries. I can not recommend this place. Forgetting things repeatedly, taking long to be able to order, charging for things that I was told was included in the dish and having food that was underwhelming gives a low...

We went to this restaurant for the first time on Sunday as it was my husband’s 55th birthday and we wanted to go somewhere really lovely to celebrate. Rafael who owns it with his wife is incredibly charming, very kind and helpful. Emma who served us was really lovely too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The passion Rafael has for the food and looking after his customers is fabulous. As for the food, it was really superb and beautifully presented. A really lovely touch was Emma brought out as a surprise for my husband’s birthday, a chocolate brownie on a plate with happy birthday and a heart piped in chocolate. A great experience through and through. Our party of 8 happened upon 17 Restaurant & Bar tonight and we’re glad we did. From the start Ralfi and our hostess were extremely accommodating with fitting in a large group. We were soon told about that night’s specials, presented with sanitized menus and our drink order was taken. The specials, the regular dishes, appetizers and drinks were all excellent. Our waitress was very professional, fun and on top of any request or need. A blanket was even provided for an older one in our group that is very feeble.
