I went here with my husband for our one and only night out in Tenerife while nana was babysitting. Unfortunately the food was overpriced and really awful. The bruschetta was just some cherry tomatoes on a slice of dry bread, with no other flavour or moisture. I left my bread but my husband ate it because he was starving. The gnocchi tasted OK but was cold. I didn't ask them to heat it up because I didn't mind that much, but it would have been nice to have it just a bit warm. My husband had the steak, which came out with a tiny portion of chips, and my husband said the chips were awful and the steak was tough and tasteless. The cocktails were below average. We ate all of our food because we were hungry and didn't think we had grounds not to pay for it just because it was horrible! But when the huge bill came (30 euros for the steak), I felt like I needed to let them know that we weren't happy with the meal. I just didn't want them to think we were walking away really happy with paying that for everything. If it had been really cheap food I would have just left it, but we deliberately didn't watch the pennies for this meal because it was meant to be a special one. I expected a hostile response and a "why did you eat it then" but I do think that they needed to know how awful the food was. (We went somewhere else local for lunch a couple of days afterwards and I had a delicious steak for less than half the price of theirs.) It was really upsetting to have wasted our one night out and blown the budget on...
Read moreThe food and service didn't match the prices unfortunately. The croquettes for starter were bland and overpriced at €6 as these didn't have any meat or fish inside. A little underwhelming. Mains were tasty and good portion sizes. The seafood spaghetti was perhaps a little light on seafood given the €16 price tag.
Service was slow and the waitress didn't check how our meal was during or after eating. The chairs were uncomfortable for an evening meal and the table too low for me personally.
I was a little frustrated as I had ordered what I thought was a glass of €2.50 white wine but was charged €4. This was an error on my part for not specifying which wine I wanted, however, when I asked for house white I didn't expect to get the most expensive glass of wine on the menu. The waitress wasn't very helpful when I asked her about this.
It's a shame as we had been really looking forward to coming here.
As a previous resident of the island, it felt a little bit like a tourist trap. I was really hoping to...
Read moreI follow a diet where you fast 20-24 hours so I only eat once usually a day, so we decided to enjoy a dinner at Pepi’s diner, that is why I can only trace everything back to this place. I ordered a 5 cheese pizza and a lasagna. Thanks to one of them (probably the lasagna, because it was dry and lacked even béchamel sauce) I have spent my day in bed with indisgestion. It has ruined my holiday, because I have spent the whole day with vomitting. I am sad that I had only read the reviews afterwards. I am terribly disappointed and sad that I have to write this, because the waitress was extremely nice and the sour dough of the pizza was very good. The other pizza we have ordered was decorated with half cm thick sliced plant based ham looking chunks that made the whole pizza dripping wet. I wish I would not had have to write...
