Restaurante Neptuno — Restaurant in Santiago del Teide

I do not recommend!!! The restaurant is located near Playa de la Arena beach, which gives it potential appeal, but unfortunately, the design gives the impression that no renovations have been done since the 90s. The old furniture and overall worn-out decor create an unpleasant sense of neglect.

The food in the restaurant gives the impression that amateurs are working in the kitchen, who know nothing about cooking and don't even try to improve their dishes or fix mistakes. My experience was extremely disappointing: I ordered fried octopus, and since it was my first time trying this delicacy, it was hard to assess the correctness of its preparation, but the overall impression was negative. My boyfriend ordered shrimp in butter with spices. I never thought it was possible to ruin shrimp, especially fried ones, but they managed to do it here. It was awful.

The service also leaves much to be desired. The staff doesn't treat you like a guest, but only aims to make money, showing indifferent attitudes towards your needs and wishes. When the waiter asked if we liked everything, we honestly replied that we did not and explained our position. The waitress responded that it was impossible because they sell 100 portions of these dishes every day. Despite our complaint, we weren't offered any discount or bonus, nor did we receive an apology for the ruined evening. As we left the restaurant, they didn't even say goodbye to us.

It feels like the owners either aren't interested in developing this place or are completely out of touch with the restaurant business. Although the place has great potential, I do not recommend...

Paseaba por la zona con mi pareja y nos provocó tomar un café ya que estaba fresca la tarde y ver que nos ofrecían para cenar, el camarero nos atendió y nos sirvió excelente y rápido, pero lamentablemente la camarera llamada Monse es un ser impresentable! Ya que de mala manera y prácticamente gritándole al camarero que nos atendió, le dijo: que no era hora de café que era hora de cena! Que cómo? Se le ocurría servirnos café! … obviamente después de oír esa falta de respeto hacia su compañero y hacia nosotros, decidimos NO cenar… Es lamentable que los dueños de estos sitios que “venden” servicio, contraten a personas como está señora, que definitivamente no tiene respeto, ética y mucho menos buen trato. Sería bueno que el gerente o el dueño de la empresa le explicara a está empleada, que ella tiene trabajo gracias a los clientes, que imagino por los comentarios que he leído serán cada vez menos.

I was going around the area with my partner and he provoked us to have a coffee since it was fresh in the afternoon and to see what they offered us for dinner, the waiter attended us and served us excellent and fast, but unfortunately the waitress named Monse is an unpresentable being! Since in a bad way and practically yelling at the waiter who attended us, he told him: that it wasn't coffee time, it was dinner time! What do you mean? It occurred to him to serve us coffee! ... obviously after hearing that lack of respect for your partner and for us, we decided NOT to have dinner... It is unfortunate that the owners of these sites that "sell" service, hire people like this lady, who definitely has no respect, ethics and much less good treatment. It would be good for the manager or the owner of the company to explain to this employee, that she has a job thanks to the customers, which I imagine from the comments I have read will be less and less.

Я ходил по району со своим партнером, и он спровоцировал нас выпить кофе, так как он был свежим во второй половине дня, и посмотреть, что они предложили нам на ужин, официант присутствовал на нас и обслуживал нас отлично и быстро, но, к сожалению, официантка по имени Монс - непредставимое существо! Так как в плохом смысле и практически крича на официанта, который присутствовал на нас, он сказал ему: что это было не время кофе, это было время ужина! Что вы имеете в виду? Ему пришло в голову подавать нам кофе! ... Очевидно, услышав об отсутствии уважения к вашему партнеру и к нам, мы решили НЕ ужинать... К сожалению, владельцы этих сайтов, которые "продают" услуги, нанимают таких людей, как эта дама, которая определенно не имеет уважения, этики и гораздо менее хорошего обращения. Было бы хорошо, если бы менеджер или владелец компании объяснил этой сотруднице, что у нее есть работа благодаря клиентам, которая, как я полагаю, из комментариев, которые я прочитал, будет все...

They have a menu outside with ~5 pizzas mentioned. We went inside, ordered a bottle of wine and began considering which pizzas to choose. Then, when ordering, they told us they don't have pizzas, because "nobody eats them here". Nothing was mentioned about this when we arrived though, and we got no apologies! When we then asked for another vegetarian option than pizza for one of us, they told us they have none. It was dinner time, we were hungry and they suggested mixed salad as a main course for the vegetarian customer. After negotiating for some time they offered to make a cheese omelette with a side salad, which turned out a big disappointment as well. No effort even trying to make it delicious. Also needed to return our bill twice before it was right....
