We booked a table by phone on Sunday an hour before arrival, they saved a nice table for us on the terrace near the window with ocean view.
We liked absolutely everything: the location (across the road from the Arena beach, overlooking the ocean), the atmosphere, well-chosen music, very tasty and well-served food, and the service was beyond praise: very pleasant and at the same time unobtrusive.
For the starter, we ordered Pimiento de Padrón (the original Spanish dish) and champignons with garlic. Everything was excellent, and the champignons tasted like real forest mushrooms.
For the main course, we took their signature beef entrecote and everything was excellent too. The meat was exactly what we asked for: well done, no blood, but soft and juicy.
Good wine list.
The original Canarian Barraquito (coffee with sweetened condensed milk and liqueur) was just the way it should be and the espresso was great too. Strong and balanced taste. For us, as big coffee fans, this was the right final point of this wonderful dinner.
Respect to the restaurant and our recommendation! Good luck...

Staff were very attentive and friendly the moment we got there. Got sat on the front near the window with sea views because we reserved.
I ordered the deep fried camembert with raspberry sauce to start, the cheese was perfectly hot and oozy, complimented by the crisp outer coating of deep fried crumbs. Whilst the raspberry sauce added the sweetness the dish needed.
For main, I ordered the carbonara. Not too creamy which is always a worry of mine when I order this dish, perfectly cooked and presented.
I only heard great things from my sister whom ordered their American hot pizza. Which, from the amazing views I had of the dish, could only have been freshly baked there. My brother in law whom ordered the Fajitas, was very pleased with the way the dish presented and tasted.

Read moreProbably the only place on our holiday we wouldn't go back to.
We had already chosen to eat here so didn't really need the (somewhat "over-enthusiastic") sales guy on street level.
Seemed to be the only place in La Arena using the classic 'stop everyone and try to drag them into restaurant' sales technique.
Food was just so disappointing - and a bit weird.
Veggie pizza had big chunks of (virtually raw) carrot on it (a more bizarre topping than pineapple and a first time I've ever seen carrot on a pizza).
Other pizza was just average and bland.
Beer was at least cold so that's a win.
Restaurant was quiet so waiter spent the whole time pacing around tables (felt like I was back in an exam hall at school!)
Shame really... There are much better Italians...
