Playa de Santiago — Attraction in Santiago del Teide

You can barely call this a beach. It's absolutely tiny and full of rocks and stones. Not even nearly big enough for the usual things, like sun loungers. The waves were coming in pretty strong, making it difficult to get in from the shore (some kind of footwear is essential for this).

On the plus side, you can walk around and jump in off the rocks - or even utilise the handy ladder and, once in, it's pretty good for snorkelling.

There is a bar right next to the beach but didn't visit so can't comment on it.

Not much of a beach - which was a shame because our hotel pool was way overcrowded. Much work is needed to make this into something I'd want to...

Es una bonita playa con ambiente marinero situada junto al muelle y el paseo marítimo de Puerto Santiago. Situada junto al puerto pesquero, esta cala resguardada del mar era uno de los refugios naturales más importantes de la costa oeste de la isla.

En invierno la playa no suele estar muy concurrida y durante los meses de verano suele tener más actividad ya que forma parte de los lugares preferidos por los vecinos del pueblo.

Podrás disfrutar de un refrescante baño, tomar el sol y degustar la cocina típica canaria en los restaurantes y tascas de sus alrededores.

Además, si tienes la suerte de coincidir con la celebración de las hogueras de San Juan y la misa marítima del día del Carmen, gozarás de un espectáculo inolvidable.
