9 things to do in Seville Spain (day one) 🇪🇸 Save this for your next visit! Day one itinerary for my trip to Sevilla in Andalusia! I didn’t land until past midnight the night before so this was an easy, breezy chilled day mostly spent walking around and getting my bearings! 1. Mercado de Triana Over in the Triana area over the river is this local market full of fresh produce. There are cafes, restaurants and little souvenir stores here too. Closed on Sundays and open 9am - 3pm from Monday - Saturday! 2. Walk around Barrio de Santa Cruz Sevilla is unbelievably beautiful and it’s a very walkable city! This neighbourhood is the former Jewish Quarter and this Old Town is where you’ll find Seville Cathedfal, Royal Alcazar and Giralda Tower too 3. Lunch at La Brunilda Tapas Thank you for the recommendation to come here! Traditional tapas with a twist - prices are reasonable, the food was delicious and booking is essential! 4. Torte del Oro (aka Tower of Gold) a 36 metre high tower build in the 12th century. You’ll find this overlooking the banks of River Guadalquivir! Tickets are €3 to climb up and open from 9:30-6:45pm on weekdays (and 10:30am on weekends) 5. Plaza de España A BEAUTIFUL plaza within María Luisa park. Enjoy the rowing boats, the canal and Spanish Renaissance architecture 6, Stroll around Parque de María Luisa A beautiful park along the river with tree-lined paths and ponds! 7. Flamenco show A visit to Seville wouldn’t be complete with a flamenco show! No cameras allowed. I booked my tickets for £17 from Flamenqueria Sevilla in the Triana neighbourhood 8. Bar Triana Stumbled upon this tapas bar in Triana! Huge portions, traditional tapas, fresh fish and seafood caught that day and Sevillan local delicacies including iberico pork cheeks! 9. Ice cream at Rayas #seville #sevilla #sevillespain #andalucia #andalusia #spain🇪🇸 #spaintravel #spaintrip #europetravel #europedestinations #europe_vacations #sevillagram #sevillacity #sevillaspain #sevillasecreta #europesummer #andalucia_monumental #flamenco #trianasevilla

Very friendly and helpful staff, although they were run off their feet and a bit stressed, despite it being a small place and not quite full? I had to be proactive about getting their attention to order dessert and the bill. I had the timbal de verduras salteadas which had a nice but not too overpowering sauce, and the crujiente de la reina, which was almost like a fancy version of huevos rotos wrapped in a crispy covering. Both were very nice and not just the basic tapas you get everywhere. Be aware that the menu isn't updated so some of the prices aren't correct, and make sure you ask for the specials and read the boards because there is more than is just on the printed menu. The place is fairly average-looking, a small, local bar, but the food was good and the friendliness of the waiters despite being busy made me really enjoy my meal. I will be back to try more tapas. Gracias!

Está un poco overrated para mi gusto. La comida me pareció average. Probamos la presa. Eso si, el vermut está delicioso

Made a booking at 2pm when the restaurant opened, showed up at 2 and was told restaurant is full pls sit outside and the outside is pouring with the patio not being fully covered.

Really sours the day when you make a plan to come out and eat during a vacation

Added after owners response below:

Their response is incorrect because another party also came at two and also stormed off after they were told they had to eat outside. I would have been fine if the outside seating was properly covered and heated. It was neither.

I must say the weather was particularly bad and given the walk way in front of the store, it would have been difficult to provide covered outside seating. They reduced the outside seating from 6 tables to 2 already to accommodate the weather but it was not enough. Given reservations were made by multiple parties and the weather, they should have just removed the outside seating altogether.

Furthermore, the owner made it sound like it’s my responsibility to request indoor seating. This is my first time visiting the restaurant and it’s unreasonable to assume that customers, new or returning, would know the layout of the restaurant and request specific seating. It’s the restaurants responsibility to ensure that customers who have made reservations are able to have a meal.

Obviously making a quick sale is more important than the commitment they made in the...

I dont know why all the reviews are this high. I would say this bar is okeyish. It was a nice local, cozy bar and the waiters were really friendly and helpful and explained some off-menu foods they offer at the moment. But the food was not really impressive and the prices were not that good for what we got offered, for example we got 4 small pieces of cheese for almost 4€ and paid 8€ for 5 mushrooms. Also the fried fish was a bit tasteless/blend and too greasy for my taste. Also it was not totally clear, that the bread they put on our table costs something extra without us specifically ordering it. We thought the bread we got belongs to the cheese. I feelt a bit tricked even if they wrote on the menu that bread is 1€ extra. I personally just want stuff on my table I order, because especially as a tourist I do not always know what to expect from a dish...

Be aware that the prices of old reviews are not up to date. For another price my review would have been probably...
