Disappointing Experience at a Seville-Inspired Spanish Restaurant
I embarked on a quest to find the best paella in Seville. After stumbling upon this restaurant with high review scores and great comments, my curiosity led me to take a 30-minute taxi ride to dine here. While the cozy ambiance and friendly staff were commendable, there were a few shortcomings that left me wanting more. We started our meal with a fresh leaf salad featuring apple and cheeses. Unfortunately, the salad was a letdown, as the lettuce edges were brown and the overall freshness was questionable. It's disheartening to be served old leaves in a salad, and there's no excuse for such negligence. Next, we eagerly awaited our seafood paella, which took around 40 minutes to arrive. While it looked visually appealing, the texture and consistency resembled more of a seafood risotto than a traditional paella. Hoping for the signature soccarat, the crispy bottom layer that adds depth to the dish, we asked our waiter about it. He took the dish to the kitchen, and after another 15 minutes of waiting, it returned with a slightly reduced juiciness but still no soccarat. The waiter apologized, explaining that achieving soccarat is not easy in Sevilla-style paella. Although the dish was decent, it fell short of being an authentic Spanish paella. This experience left me pondering the source of the restaurant's numerous five-star reviews. Do people truly understand what to expect when ordering a dish, or are they simply content with anything that bears the name of a familiar dish? In summary, while the staff was attentive and the restaurant had a local charm, the food itself was average at best. If you happen to be in the neighborhood and want to give it a try, it might be worth a visit. However, I wouldn't recommend making a special trip solely...

We went on a Tuesday night with no reservation at 9pm, unfortunately most tables were reserved but the fantastic staff were able to squeeze us in before a 10:30 reserved table. Sergio and Jamal explained some of the flagship specialties of their food menu and recommended some fantastic wines. The staff were always smiling and very caring throughout.
We ordered: Grilled octopus - 10/10. Mouth-watering, melt in the mouth experience with tasty roast potatoes Atusian soup - 9/10. Deep, rich soup, light but flavourful Cachopo - 7/10. Quite a dense meal, very flavourful but not the favourite Entrecote steak - 10/10. Grilled on the hot plate at the table, super tender and juicy. Tarta de la abuela - 10/10. Divine sweet goodness.
Total with drinks came to €96.00. Worth every penny.
Unforgettable dinner in Triana, hands down one of the best dinners of my life. Thank you to Sergio and Jamal for taking great care of us and making the evening even...
