The restaurant "La Bernarda Slowbar" in Seville was unfortunately a disappointing experience for our family of four. Our visit was marred by the fact that we were attended to by three different waiters, which led to numerous issues. We witnessed an incident where the wrong food was brought to our table, further complicating the evening.
The quality of the food also left much to be desired. The octopus we ordered turned out to be tough and difficult to enjoy. The hamburgers were also underwhelming, with cold buns and dry meat. Fortunately, two of the ordered steaks were fine, but all the side dishes were cold, significantly affecting the overall experience.
Another issue was the sequence of service. It was disappointing to realize that the final dish was served only when the other guests had already finished eating. This contributed to the entire meal being disjointed and frustrating.
Overall, "La Bernarda Slowbar" left us with a negative impression due to the inconsistent service, quality shortcomings in the dishes, and poor coordination of serving. We hope that the restaurant can address its issues in the future to provide its guests with a more pleasant and...
Read moreThe interior and the atmosphere were beautiful but the service and the food were atrocious. If any server came to our table they were rushed and distracted and were not concerned whatsoever with our service. I ordered the tenderloin for €34 and was charged €52 because they said they didn’t have any smaller ones left. It was the worst tenderloin I’ve ever had in my life. I was not asked how I would like it cooked and had to use a butter knife to cut it. I had to send it back because it came out rare when I would have requested it medium. I had just asked for a bit of the patatas bravas sauce on the side since we cannot get patatas bravas at home and it’s my favourite, and instead they gave me French fries instead of the roasted baby potatoes the meal is supposed to come with. The wine portions are also much smaller than elsewhere in Spain and my tinto de vereno was more lemonade than anything else. We were charged €6 for bread service and we did not receive our bread. Overall, terrible experience and all I would recommend it stepping instead to see the decor and taking your business to one of Seville’s other wonderful restaurants. Very...
Read moreBotched service, although the waiter was very kind. Burnt out candles on the table. Plates don’t arrive at the table at the same time, not only the paella (which usually takes more time to cook) but all the rest as well. Re: paella, we waited 30 minutes for our paella and the couple who sat next to us and ordered 20 minutes later got their paella (identical to ours) first. They forgot wine and the attempted to pour new wine in glasses that had the previous (different) wine inside. We asked for explanation on one of the dishes and the waitress replied that she was the “wine” waitress and didn’t answer “food” questions.
The black paella was not good, despite the previous reviews. The rice was too cooked and soggy, it was extremely salty and the pepper flavour was too strong.
Cozy environment, good extra virgin olive oil but too pricey for what we ate. Bread was expensive, 1 litre water bottle was 4 euros. On top of it all, for a group of many people, we weren’t allow to pay separately with card (they allow this is most parts of Andalusia) which made it a nightmare to pay; furthermore, they got our bill wrong not...
