Pizzeria Francesco Sitges — Restaurant in Sitges

Beware they charge more than what is written on the menu. We only went for a coffee. Price on the menu 1.50€ each x2 = 3.00€ But was charged 3.80€ When I disputed the charges I was told there was a premium to sit (on an empty terrace) To be fair the waiter did eventually charge me 3.00€ but how many times have people paid over the top to sit on this terrace ? This is Spain, to be able to sit outside to eat & drink is the reason people sit on a terrace in the first place, then add in the covid situation where people feel safer being outside when possible.To me it’s just a sneaky tourist ripoff to overcharge. If they really want to do this increase your prices to reflect the actual cost or would people see these prices & realise this place is expensive. Starters we had prawn, squid and red cabbage tempora with very light batter and well worth trying though a dipping sauce with it would have made it perfect. Baby octopus with tomato sauce was just genius very tender and a thick sauce. Mains were cheese pizza on a light crispy base which my son ate in minutes, seafood pizza which comes without cheese which seems to be the same as the ones I have had in Italy. The sea food is fresh and the portions are generous. Finally we had lobster and pasta which at £14 is a bargain. We didn't have room for pudding but had a shot of lemoncello which is actually rather good. Over all the food is great, the staff are wonderful, cheap prices and the final bonus was a bottle of decent cava for £8.50 which compared to English prices is amazing. The food was disgusting. Plus, I asked them if it was pork because I can’t eat pork because I ordered a sausage pizza they said it was chicken but in the end it was pork and I cannot eat pork the way they packed the food was disgusting. They folded it in half and when I opened the food, it was all splattered. They put zero cheese on the pizza The price was absurd.
