Komokieras — Restaurant in Sitges

Excellent restaurant. My fiancée and I popped in here to celebrate our anniversary and even though we didn't mention it to the owner who served us, we were treated as if he knew. The decor is minimal with exposed walls alternating with floral prints emulating the table flowers.

As mentioned in other reviews we were greeted with a glass of cava. The menu was unpretentious and not over complicated, which is something that I'm always happy to see; an over ambitious menu often results in middling dishes in my experience. We opted for the empanada and the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes to start. Both were excellent. For the main we both opted for the Ribeye steak and I can honestly say it was the best I've had since one very special restaurant I recall from my month spent in Argentina. It's so good that we plan on returning to Sitges just for this when we're next in Barcelona.

We shared the white chocolate dessert and left with full bellies that took over an hour to walk off.

The service was top notch too, friendly, well judged and perfectly timed so that we weren't rushed and that we weren't left waiting.

If I could give this place 6 out...

Another lovely dining experience at Komokieras.

The kitchen is very, very good, and the wines have been consistently excellent.

I really like the service which is personal and genuine. It’s a restaurant with very few couverts so service speed can vary, especially around peak service time, if this is an issue for you I’d suggest a later seating. Not a problem for us.

I’ve been reflecting on the simplicity of the decor and the excellence of the food, and this is exactly the combination I prefer.

A nicely presented elegant restaurant with tablecloths. Not a typical menu with some interesting dishes. Delicous main dishes, average sized portions, unfortunately lacking in any kind of potatoe dishes or fresh vegtables. Service is a bit slow especially trying to get a drink when you arrive so order when you arrive. I have been several times & you may have to reserve for the next day. Also open for lunch but the service is very rushed....
